Anyone used moparpartsoverstock.com?

Looking at picking up my new Summit today after work so now looking at some parts and accessories to add

Local prices seem outrageous and most of the time the Shipping charges to Australia tend to be quiet high so it is a dammed if you do and dammed if you dont!

At the moment I have a heap in the shopping basket with moparpartsoverstock.com including a set of Skid Plates and postage seems to be a really reasonable amount?

So was just seeking some advice from others that have already traveled this path - Recommended sites or maybe the sites to stay away from with really cheap crappy copies

Thanks
Mark

These guys tend to be good value too, even if it isn't listed on the ebay store, you can contact them and ask for a price, if they have it stock it can be well priced:

Northern Motor Group Genuine Parts items - Get great deals on Wrangler, Cherokee items on eBay Stores!

Thanks for that adamt
Not bad prices but could not see the Transfer Case Skid plate in their listings

But I have a fairly large list - Skid Plates, Rock Rails, Front Air Deflector, Pedal Kit, Sun Shade, Center Console Bin may look at some Oil and Air Filters while I am at it?
Even looking and seriously contemplating a SRT Steering Wheel
At the moment, everything + estimated shipping is around $2600

Wow, they are quoting $100 shipping on a set of rockrails.... almost too good to be true!

Yes but there is the fine print down the bottom that says
"Oversize or excessively heavy parts may have an additional freight charge."

But thing that concerns me is that the Rock Rails seem to be out of stock every where else?
So where are these guys getting them from, are they some rip off copies?

Just remember when you import over $1000, you will be subject to duty and GST charges on top of your freight and purchase cost.

Have emailed them for a proper price on Shipping
If the prices are close to the estimates then I will have no problem splitting the order up to avoid the Import Taxes if I need to!

Question still remains about the quality of the products supplied?
Is there some other site - Just for Jeeps for example can not ship the skid plates at a reasonable price, the Rock Rail are out of stock?

Surely there are some Aussies out there that have imported things that can share their experiences Good OR Bad?

I'm yet to locate a good US supplier for importing the consumables and various parts for the GC. I have posted somewhere before, but I import all my filters and spares for our SRi-V Holden Cruze. According to the wife that is my car when the Jeep arrives..

On the Holden I imported $950 worth of Holden priced products for $480 delivered to the front door including freight. All OEM /same part number from GMparts online. We are easy targets when it comes to the cost of parts and they know Aussies will pay it..

Spent most of Nov-March living in the US and the price of the SS Commodore in the US (Chevrolet SS) is about 10K cheaper there after it has been freighted from Adelaide and is kitted out with more features than what we get here. Not that that has anything to do with importing, just frustrated the hell out of me while I was there... Why are we paying more in Aus.

Long winded, but when the Jeep arrives I will locate a good US parts supplier and try and save a little on the consumable items over the long term.

Will keep you posted if I locate one and will watch your thread with interest to see how you go.

Re: Anyone used moparpartsoverstock.com?

Totally agree MMAG4X4 and unfortunately I cant see anything changing

I would have thought that someone already would have had some experience they were willing to share?

Pretty easy getting things cheaper, but cheaper doesn't always turn out to be better.
Especially if when it arrives it turn out to be a low grade copy

Re: Anyone used moparpartsoverstock.com?

Have to start somewhere. So maybe it's us...
I'll keep searching and keep you updated with what I come across.
I thought the other night an east coast group should look at the consumables they need over the next couple of years (filters ect) and do a bulk order and split the freight cost.
Just a thought.
