I'll try to get some more/better pics next week, and yes I'll post them :-)

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

Got a flyer from ARB today with details of their bullbar for the current Grand Cherokee, available in November. Looks good.

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

I know some of you guys want or NEED a bullbar, but jeez, what a way to spoil the look of your new Jeep (both styles).

You obviously haven't seen the ECB bullbar. I agree that they in no way enhance the beautiful styling of the Jeep but I like the protection they provide particularly in the bash plate area. The high cost ($2,000+) and the added weight (~55kg) are holding me back. Speaking of styling, I find it hard to believe that these Grands have come out the same stable as the Dodge line that look like they were styled at the Kim Jong-un School of Industrial Design for the Artistically Impaired.

The front end looks even worse after animal strike, I travel bush roads often and having a Roo come throw your radiator when 2 days from the nearest town is just a bit of a pita, if you live in the city and never travel in the bush you don't need one, for those of us who live and travel in the bush they are a necessity

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

I'm really disappointed with the ARB bar.
It has NO rated recovery points = FAIL

So pretty much, the only way to be recovered is via winch - no thanks.

Begs the question "does any ARB Bar have rated recovery points?"

No doubt you are right. However, most of us are city dwellers that venture into the bush for leisure and usually avoid night driving. For us a bullbar's cost/effectiveness is a toss-up. Of course, for some it is a matter of bling and cost/effectiveness doesn't come into it.

Didn't bother to read their own website.

I'm not sure I accept that a unibody chassis is less strong than an old fashioned body on frame.
