Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

From ARB Facebook page.

We need a Jeep. Yep, that's right... we need a Jeep. We're currently finalising development of our WK2 Grand Cherokee bar and we need a vehicle to perform some final testing.

If you have a current model Grand Cherokee with adaptive cruise... control, you're close to our Kilsyth Head Office and you're willing to lend us your vehicle for 2-3 weeks, send an email with your vehicle and contact details to ssampson@arb.com.au. To say thanks, you'll be able to keep the bar (worth over $2K painted and fitted), making you the first in the world to own an ARB WK2 bar.

Please note, your vehicle will be driven both on and off road during testing. Full details will be provided to interested parties.

Good luck with that, handing over your GC for 2-3 weeks.

Cheers

Have a look at Uneek4x4's Facebook page to see some photos of the WK2 proto type bullbar test fit, it's looking good!, only protrudes 135mm further out than bumper and gains 160mm ground clearance !

Not sure i like the Uneek 4x4 bull bar so far in the flesh
Its very square at the other edges

Hoping it will look better in the finished product and in flesh

Maybe it will look better with a tin of polish.

Remember that is just bare steel tacked together, when its powder coated and has lights in it, and the bumper is cut to suit its going to look smick!!!!!

I hope you are right. I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw those first photos.

Re: ARB Bullbar Delayed

I think the bumper itself looks great but I'm not too fussed on the wrap-around look of the loop bar particularly how it slants back to the bumper. I would have preferred a squarer ARB look, but I could live with that.

Booked in with Stu Murchison in Qld for suspension upgrade/lift in a few weeks.
Almost worn the stock Khumos out and will probably throw on a set of Maxxis MT764's

ARB Bullbar Delayed

Here's a couple more pics from the Melbourne 4x4 show

Polished Ally with nudge instead of full hoop

Full hoop bar on front, just a different aspect.

Of interest, the prototype ARB WK2 Bar was seen in the carpark amoung 1,000's other 4wd's.
Apparently not important enough to have as part of their show stand.
