Re: Au srt

Yeah, fair call, wasn't thinking about a catastrophic tyre failure. Maybe removing the spare and filling the spare tyre well with ice and beer isn't such a good idea.

Re: Au srt

Hey guy's.... finally I have confirmation that my SRT actually exists and I have been provided with details including VIN. I have been ale to determine that the vehiclie is on the water via thw 2wglobal site, so I dont need to track my vehicle through the factory. I am wondering if it is worthwhile becoming a contributing member to get a copy of the build sheet and was hoping some one would mind posting their so that I can see what info is on it. Cheers.

Re: Au srt

Yes it is. Not only do you feel better, knowing that you are financially contributing to a good cause i.e. this forum, but a build sheet is invaluable in ensuring you are getting what you ordered, and it is very useful when you wish to part with your car when the newer super model is released next year... or the year after that.

Re: Au srt

Thanks Allypally, I am now a contributing member and have already received my build sheet - Thanks Milous!!!.

It confirmed what my dealer told me the other day. After weeks of constant nagging for an E number, or at least confirmation that the car exists, the dealer finally confirmed that my "Redline SRT" has been built and was waiting to be loaded on a ship. That was fantastic news, except I orderred a Deep Cherry Red SRT, woops!!!

Luckily though, I was actually regreted playing it safe and going for the Cherry as after seeing pics of the Redline SRT emerging I really wished that I had gone out on a limb and ordered Redline. So I am actually getting the colour that I want through an error by Jeep!!!

I do have one reret though, in hindsight, I should have acted very disapointed and demanded to know what they were going to do to compensate me for ordering the wrong colour. Woops, didnt think about that at the time, could have got all sort of things thrown in. (or they may have just said we will order you in a Cherry one and get back to the end of the line - and then sold the redline car to the next SRT buyer that walked in the door)

The build sheet has also confirmed that my wheels are infact the Satin 5 Spoke Spider Monkey wheels (which I wanted) rather than the Goliath's that the dealer said I would be receiving.

Also, I plugged the VIN into the 2Global website and my car is on a ship somewhere between Panama and Auckland with an ETA to Brisbane Port on 29/07.

So I get the colour I want, the wheels I want and should be driving it by mid August!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Re: Au srt

Congrats. Yes. You should have kept your mouth shut and acted surprised when you turned up to collect the car.
The same thing happened to me, and I capitalised big time, becuase I didn't let them know that I knew. Build sheets are gold.

Likewise, got mine in Aug
As previously mentioned, no remote start or wifi and no digital audio.
Had several major build quality issues at the start, but have slowly worked out most of the issues with my dealer.
Still have to get the rear seat replaced under warranty - waiting on seat to come in.
I love driving my SRT, but have to be honest, doing a lot of city driving has cost me a small fortune in fuel. Better on the open road though.
Would consider an Overland diesel next time, chose the SRT as my previous ride was a Falcon G6ET and didn't want to miss the grunt
