Audio not consistent in MY14 uConnect

I have noticed that both AM and FM radio stations quite regularly drops the sound from either the right speakers or the left speakers for a second or two. It quickly fades out then back in again.

Initially it sounded like it changed from stereo mode to mono mode and back again a couple of seconds later...it got me annoyed. I was thinking the uConnect radio was crap and that the radio signal being picked up by the antenna was weak, or the antenna was crap or the received signal getting to the radio receiver was weak.

But then i stuck in a USB stick with MP3 music on it and noticed THE SAME THING HAPPENING . The music drops out from the right speakers similar amount of times playing music via USB stick! When it does happen and if i rewind a few seconds and play again to see if it's the recorded track that is stuffed, it plays normally without fault.

I thought maybe it could be the uConnect female voice getting ready to say something (like that i'm driving faster than the posted speed limit or nav commands) but it's not anything i can pinpoint.

I think i came to the conclusion that the uConnect audio system is not the best and gets quite frustrating when listening to the radio or music on either FM, AM or USB stick when the music or even talk back radio cuts out.

Has anyone else experienced this?
What can be done about it?
I have uConnect sw version 13.31.2, will upgrading to 13.39.51 resolve this issue or is it still evident?
I know early versions of uConnect had a loud popping noise and i wonder if the engineers has rectified the popping with the cutting out??
