Re: Australia - TSB updates

Well, took the car for first 1000k km service. Really disappointed.

Emailed a list of items to do and TSB updates. Was told only 1 TSB is applicable as mentioned in the earlier posts, which is fair enough.

But other things such as steering wheel not aligned, rattling sound etc were not fixed. Was told to come back again for them to look at.

So I sent the car in from 9.30am to 4pm, all they did was a software update. Even then, I have to wait for them to finish when I got there!

Jeep service center really needs to improve on their service quality.

Re: Australia - TSB updates

The saga continue!

Sent in the car second time, again at 9am and collected at 4pm.

Was told that there was no steering wheel alignment issue even though I have said that i had this issue from the day i picked up the car. Gave them the TSB and was told that it is for LHD car so not applicable to mine.

Other small issues was told has been fixed but to my surprise, they weren't fixed. Didn't get to check before leaving as it was pouring heavily and was in a rush to get home.

Sigh.......

Sorry Jeepking. Were you actually expecting a positive outcome?
That only occurs sometimes after you have raved and ranted to Head Office. I say "only sometimes" because they don't appear to be that on the ball there either, and it is the luck of the draw if you strike someone who actually follows through on what they say they will do. Mind you, I haven't bothered to call them for a long time now, so maybe they have improved??

Re: Australia - TSB updates

Allypally, well from what I am used to, my previous service center always dealt with the issues that i had when I sent in my car in. If they can't do it within that time, they will tell me so that I only send my car in on a day where they can complete the job. Please note, my previous service center do charge me a bit more compare as it is a dealer service center, but I don't complaint about that as they fixed my issues!

With Jeep service center, they always told me the jobs are done when they are NOT. How can they be that bad?????

Re: Australia - TSB updates

Had my Jeep into dealer today to get TBS update done for ECO button not retaining setting (supplied TBS). Response from dealer is as follows:-
"Software is already up to date. Bulletin supplied may be overseas version where emission laws are different. Can re check next service for update, possibly will never be available in Australia. Compared operation to anther known vehicle and operation all the same. All ok"

Re: Australia - TSB updates

I can't seem to find the TSB for MY2015 Jeep GC Eco button update just quietly.

Re: Australia - TSB updates

It isn't an issue for MY15. It was fixed and it should stay off if selected.

I don't buy that, the specification is for vehicles with sales code EXF, which is the 3.0 Diesel. Normally if it applies to certain emissions systems it will also include XAL (for the DEF system).

It may be that for some reason the flash update hasn't been made available to export vehicles, or that the service center hasn't been successfully downloading current updates (as another owner discovered when trying to get the DPF update applied).

Has anyone had this update for the eco button successfully applied?

I'll let my MY15 know that, it doesn't appear to be aware.

Pretty sure I read someone posting about it being applied on their 14 and them not liking the new shift patterns it also came with.

Both of the MY15's I have access to have the ECO button not retaining setting problem and both of them have been confirmed (by different dealers) to have no updates available for that VIN / problem.

Both however have had 18-074-14 applied.

SNUKE: What is your source for it being resolved on MY15 models?

They are still working on releasing the patches to all the models imo, for example the new DPF update for MY14 includes the AC compressor update as well. 18-044-15
