Ps any one wanting factory nav in their laredo the customtronix software is really good!!! Intergrates seamlessly.
I posted a pic earlier of the DAB antenna on the glass, but guess its a bit hard to see exactly where it is :-( The photo shows the antenna on the rear left quarter window (window closest to the rear but on the left side of the car) with the antenna parallel with the side closest to the front of the car. Will take another pic to make it clear.

Re: Australian 2014 GC with DAB

All,

I haven't read this whole thread but about 13-14 months ago i installed DAB in my MY14 Limited.

I actually worked with Magnus from Customtronix trying a few different aerials to get DAB working.. I believe the one he now sells online is the one i tested for him. I was meant to post about 14 months ago but i forgot until something reminded me today..

According to Magnus all models have the DAB, in fact they are the same hardware. You can get around this restriction using his jailbreak.

I've been using it for over a year now without issues. I attached the aerial to the front passenger side hidden behind the plastic covering on the front window.

It works well around the city, if you go about 30-40km out of Sydney it will start drop out but its bariable.

I got the software from customtronix google them . It's vp3 row you can also ask them to put a token on their for dab. The dab is part of their tax jailbreak but if you tell them you've got the button they'll include a token for nav and dab.

Chrysler/Dodge/Ram ICOS RAX USB conversion RX3/4
VPN-conversion-USB 399 399 it says it's more expensive on their site but you get a discount if a member of chrysler forum. Works really well u just down load the software from a link they give you and load it onto fat 32 formatted usb. Real easy. I tried nav repair from USA on ebay Andover a 3 week period would not get it to work properly. Customtronix inserted usb and had the nav button and fully functioning gps with turn instructions In dash also can enter address In motion. Quick email responses can't speak highly enough of their service.

Re: Australian 2014 GC with DAB

Thank you all for your work on this, and postings.

My MY14 (Jan 14) build does not have the DAB button but I'm very keen to get it working if possible one way or another.
(We have DAB at home and use it all the time.)

I'm just rereading through the posts and trying to work from there, and would apperecite any further information as it comes to light.

Thanks again

Cheers
David

Customtronix DAB installed with SMB adapter as per previous posts. All good.

Thanks heaps for the posts.

Its $200 aust including the aerial or you can buy a aerial here and just get the software, email customtronix for price.

I would buy the lot from Customtronix cause you know it works.

And the SMB male adapter from telcoantennas, the link is further back.

Took an hour to install.
