Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

Good notes Brenton I joined this site after ordering blackberry and later being told it's unavailable. What became clear to me is the dealers are pretty much in the dark. I imagine you will have a con number issued soon. It starts with an E then string of digits. Become a level 3 supporter and Milous can provide you with all the info you need.

I called in to check on my order as I was expecting to hear the delivery times for my top 3 colour choices before making a decision. They were all build-to-order so they just ordered my #1 choice (canyon brown, which I still haven't seen in a convincing photo and isn't actually listed on the MY12 info sheet) without letting me know. They weren't aware of any delays with Winter Chill, as Milous advised in a separate post.

We are confirming tomorrow when we actually test-drive a Diesel - they now have a demo in stock. They also have 3 CRD Limiteds in the showroom marked 'Sold', including a 70th anniversary...

Beerenton, I'm not sure about that. My MY12 build sheet states "40GB Hard Drive w/28GB Available" so it is really 30 GB.

Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

Hi Beerenton, please upload the info sheet asap .

More info (even if conflicting) is always better than lack of info.

BTW, so excited, but also trying to ready myself for disappointment. Delivery is supposed to be today, but haven't received my call saying to come pick it up yet.

(It went to be detailed yesterday, so I assume that they will register it today, it's been so long that I'm starting to get really anxious and worried that it will not be done today).

Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

I'll scan the sheet when I'm back at work next week (ugh.)

Re: the hard drive, I think there was an upgrade in there somewhere - maybe the first ones were 30GB capacity and ~20GB available for music?

The colours are doing my head in - dealer confirms that we've ordered a Canyon Brown (originally called 'Blazing Saddle' or 'Saddle Brown' in the US, exclusive to the Overland Summit, but cancelled before it reached production and replaced with Rugged Brown over there, according to wk2jeeps.com.) I can't find a single pic of a Grand Cherokee in Canyon Brown, but there are a few Dodges around - I hope it lives up to expectations!

Nice colour, should suite the Overland very nicely with all the chrome.

Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

Wow did anyone read that the SRT8 gets 20l /100km in the city cycle ? That means 25+ for normal drivers. That is shocking fuel economy (guzzling).

Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

Isn't city the highest one, so highway would be like 13-14L so average would be like 15 or 16L or somthing, that is still pretty bad though

Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

The highway is 10.1 and combined is 14, but who ever gets the stated fuel economy.
I would still consider one if it is under $100k.

Got a phone call this afternoon. The dealer just un-confirmed Canyon Brown, it won't be available in Australia (just like the US). There is another brown coming but it's only available on the Overland (just like the US).

Pretty unimpressed, seeing I queried it a few times with the dealer and it was confirmed each time, most recently by the sales manager only a couple of weeks ago.

Our second choice was Winter Chill and luckily that is the quickest colour that we can order - I was told it would arrive 4 weeks before any other colour. Only after I hung up did I realise I hadn't asked when those 4 weeks were...

I did tell the salesman that it would cost him a set of genuine floor mats, but only because I forgot to mention it on the initial order.

Floormats are included, :S Time to bargain for some more.

(They were included on my 300C and also my Overland, so I assume they're included for every ChryCo car)

Re: Australian edition Grand Cherokee

You definitely do not want your car go to Java Yard! Looks like that is the repair shop. My car was damaged in transit
Probably just a minor scratch but the dealer will be surprised how long it will take me for the inspection at pickup.

Repair completed and supposedly shipped out 10days ago. Just tracking is not updating

My first ever new car... not the great experience I had imagined....
