Re: Australian spec Overland - Trailer Tow Prep Group

I had read an oblique reference to being able to put the spare underneath in a US brochure about the Off Road kit. I was really interested as I can't see how you'd access the spare with a fridge slide and drawers in the back.

I had a look under the local demonstrator and there seems to be room for the spare. The reason I asked about how much room the HR towbar took was exactly what you want to know, will they both fit. From the pics above (thanks jefferson) it looks like the bar may be too thick for both?

Will have a look at how the standard Jeep bar fits and whether it leaves more room.

Jim

Does anyone know if the "Trailer Sway Control" gizzmo's work with the Hayman Reece or does it have to be a Jeep Bar??

There is nothing in the hitch to detect sway.
I think it is detected through the QL moving up and down. maybe some sort of G force meter somewhere.

QL is amazing towing a trailer. Box trailer with a bobcat dumping a ton of sand in it the jeep lifts up in a second.
