Automatic headlights

Is anyone else annoyed by the sesivity of the automatic headlights? Mine seems to come on at a hint of darkness or cloudiness in the sky. I don't think there is a way to control the sensitivity. Is there?

Re: Automatic headlights

I dont think there is any user adjustment functionality. They do seem too sensitive to me.

+1.......Is the sensor that red dome at the front of the dash? Wonder if it can be darkened?

Yep - that's it. Put some electrical tape over it. Or turn your light switch to manual.

For mine, I'm happy to have the lights come on "early". My car is mineral grey, so the brighter the lights are for someone to see me, all the better.

Re: Automatic headlights

I may be wrong but i think that dome on the dash is the sunlight sensor for the climate control i am sure the light control is in front of the rearvision mirror, looks like a small camera and the infra red sensor for the auto wipers is up there as well i believe, on the Aus. version anyway.
