Re: Baa Baaa's Long Trip Home

Cool pics. We might give Mogo Zoo a visit now as well. Child would love it.

Auscop re: the soft sound. We have heard that as well as we go down our driveway. Husband *thinks* it could be the suspension but that's just a guess.

Very disappointed I have not been pulled over yet.
You don't want to be pulled over.. I had a vehicle I bought in Sydney about 10 yr ago. Was driving it back to BNE with the temp rego. Got pulled over for an RBT nears Coffs, and spent nearly 4 hrs there explaining what a temp rego was, and why I had no plates. Grrrrr....
On another note, read the fine print on your label. On mine, one of the conditions was to drive the most direct route between dealership and destination. If you do get pulled over, just plead ignorance "isn't this the was to Alice?".... lol
Enjoying reading this blog.

Re: Baa Baaa's Long Trip Home

Great way to break it in, what a trip.
3 years ago I bought a Volvo XC90 from an auction and drove it home with no plates on. Only saw one cop car as I was coming out of the Golden Arches in Goulburn. He looked at me but didn't bother pulling me over. I was already mentally preparing for issues, but it never happened....sigh..

Enjoy the rest of the trip home

I told the dealer my travel plans and they seemed it want and issue. He gave me the paper work that I have put in the glove box and have never bothered reading. if I get pulled over I will just tell them I stole it.

Matty470, We did a fair bit of driving in Sydney on Sat and Sun, drove from Sydney to Mogo to Canberra Mon, drove around Canberra today. In all that time I saw ONE cop car. Closest we came was we got questioned once by a ranger in a park near Sydney.

Day 3: Kind of a relaxed day, did a bit of shopping at Canberra Central. The wifer suggested we get Baa Baaa a wash at valet car wash in the shopping centre car park. Good idea, but no way in hell was I about to turn the keys over to some snotty nosed kid.

After that we headed to the War Memorial, I am a huge history fan, I really need to make a note to come back and spend a few days there. The history there is amazing and heart wrenching. We were only there 4 hours and got to see next to nothing I wanted to see. Got a sick kid at the moment so we headed out around 2:30pm.

Can't post any photos at the moment as the wifer is using the laptop for an online interactive session of a Uni class. No school break for her but at least she have a glass of red while doing it.

Notes:

Hate the Crowne Plaza Canberra car park. Too small and am scared the car will get scratched.

The car park brings me to the fact of, I LOVE the way you can press the button and the mirrors fold in against the car. Real sweet.

Did I miss something about the Canberra Casino? It has to be the smallest casino in the world... And I could not find any pokies!!!!

Heading out tomorrow for Wagga Wagga via the Snowy Mountain Hwy at about 7:30..

FINAL NOTE: LOVE my Baa Baaa.

Yes, the war memorial is fantastic. I went to a work related dinner there a few years ago. They set up the dinner in the aeroplane hall and put on a sound and light show - big screens with video footage of bombers in battle, lasers, the whole deal.

They had a speaker, a senior army guy give a very good speech about teamwork and mate ship and how the army experience can be transferred to business.

After dinner they had a band and singers doing Glenn miller, Andrews sisters style music.

Wonderful night.

Not sure of the timing but you will drive brought Adelong. If its coffee time stop at the Beaufort Hotel in Main Street and say hi to Cynthia
We stayed there last weekend and had a lovely time. Friendly owners , great food and a very peaceful place. Tell them John and Susie recommended them

Have a good trip
