Re: Benn0's build up thread

First thing to do is update your Uconnect to 14.05.03. See here - http://www.jeepgarage.org/f219/uconn...rj3-72137.html
Part of that procedure is ideally you delete the paired phones, and re pair them after the update.
What version iphone and what iOS is it?

As for the USB issue. On what operating system are you deleting the files? If you’re using OS X, you need to make sure you empty the trash before removing the drive, or the files aren’t actually removed from the USB device. Even on Windows, the best procedure is to delete files from USB, then empty trash, then eject drive.

There is rubbing at the front of the front wheels at full lock (at least there is in park mode) against the felt inner wheel well. Here is looking upward at the front of the front tyre.

What a great looking vehicle you are building up.

Re the slippage with the new tyres .... I have often found that the tyres need a few Ks to wear off the "oil" used to release the tyre from the mould (kinda like fabulon stuff). With my track car I was not able to use the new tyres until they were "cleaned".

I'm a few months off getting delivery of mine .. and I would be interested in using the Checklist.

Best regards

Ahhh, yes, empty the trash. Sounds like my missus!!

I use win7, any way, I'll check that, might format and re-copy the mp3s on.

iPhone 5, ios 6.0.2 (yes, I know it's old, I don't bother updating unless I have something that needs fixing. This could be one of those times, but I don't normally use bluetooth for music anyway).

I'll try the update and see if that helps, I did read the list of fixes in 14.05.03 and didn't see anything related. Again it doesn't bother me, YET, just a strange quirk.

Thanks SNUKE!

Thanks, I'm smiling alot whenever I see it from outside. Should look good with the rails and hooks on too. I'll need to get some better pics of it.

Agree on the tyres, I will have to do a few kms on them and see how they settle, but so far they have been pretty good compared to the MickeyT ATZ on the cruiser. I just drove that car then and realised it was humming more than the Jeep is, but between the engine noise and the creaks and clunks you don't notice it as much as you do in the far quieter Jeep.

MMAG4X4 did up a check list, he PM'ed it to me. It is very thorough, but to be honest I was too excited to drive it out of the dealership that I didn't really follow it through. I mainly checked panels were aligned, inside and out, looked for paint blemishes and made sure she was idling smooth at a cold start. Anything else they can fix at the first service.

Although, one other thing for the list, when changing the wheels I found a divot in the alloy! Didn't notice it int he dealership, but doubt I did it on the way home. I'll have to list these rims a bit cheaper when I sell them.

Great work Benn0. If possible can you please PM me that check list. I remember seeing a checklist in one of the threads but for the life of me cant search for it again.

Although there is nothing listed, it is always the first thing to do to try any system issues. Make sure you’re on the latest firmware.
Even though you can’t deselect the Auto on Heating, it shouldn’t be coming on. Unless I have missed the news that Brisbane is going through a crazy cold snap, it is far too warm for heating to be coming on.

• Auto-On Driver Heated/Ventilated Seat & Steering Wheel With Vehicle Start — If Equipped
When this feature is selected the driver’s heated seat and heated steering wheel will automatically turn on when temperatures are below 40 F (4.4 C). When temperatures are above 80 F (26.7 C), the driver vented seat will turn on. To make your selection, touch the “Auto Heated Seats” soft-key, until a check-mark appears next to the setting, showing that the setting has been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu.
There is a TSB for the HVAC that just got released, but that is to do with being to hot. - http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_2400314.pdf

As for iOS, I didn’t do 6, I stayed at 5.1.1 until a couple of months ago as 6 introduced too many bad changes. I can recommend 7, it has some very good improvements. I jailbreak too so updating is always very considered thing to do.

Yep, I figured the warmer wasn't actually coming on, just strange I can't turn it off. I've only tried it with ACC on, not engine running. Not sure if that makes a difference.

How do you turn off the woman telling me what the speed limit is? Not sure if I want to keep her or get rid of her.....

Under the Nav Settings screen from memory. Announce Speed Limit warning I think it is.

You have turn guidance volume or just OFF. I shut them all up.

There is a Speed Limit Warning I have turned on, but have never heard it, but I do not have an Over Limit Warning set.
