Yes, I see what you mean. Tightening hose clamps would not have helped this. So, so far I can find one confirmed blown silencer housing and 3 hoses popping off the intercooler.

Checked my hose clamps today. The two either side of the silencer were surprisingly loose. They both took about a full turn to tighten. There are another two on the turbo side. They were quite tight but they took about a 1/4 of a turn. Then there are the two either side of the intercooler that are impossible to see and almost impossible to reach. Luckily both clamps were positioned so that I could just get my hand and spanner to them. They were also tight but took a 1/4 of a turn. For some strange reason, they took an 8mm spanner whereas the four above took a 7mm.

Re: Blown Turbo Hose

Our 2012 blew the turbo hose down the LH side of the intercooler.

Not quite. Tightening the hose clamp was just possible because nothing was moving and the nut was just in the right place. Had the hose come off it would have been impossible. I don't know the dealer would have done it. Perhaps from underneath.

Re: Blown Turbo Hose

When we limped into our dealer it took 30 minutes from arriving to departing after they fixed it and that included all the head scratching and discussion.
I wondered at the time if they had a very small apprentice because it was the sort of job to delegate. If they pulled covers off they were plenty quick about it.
Anyway made us happy at the time and great service.

I've got the Bluespark with turbo boost so understandably a little apprehensive but so far so good despite occasionally overtaking B-doubles uphill flat to the boards while towing a camper trailer. It certainly keeps the DPF clean.
