There will be 2 versions available, for those with the ACC Camera and without. You can read some more about it here, (WK2 Lower Front Guard).

We're coming down the home stretch now. I don't have a set release date yet. It depends on how quickly we can get our test fitting completed.

If you're keen to help out with the test fitting, we just had someone cancel and could really use a MY14 WK2 with ACC Camera and parking sensors. You can find more information over in this thread, (Need WK2s for Product Test Fitting (Gold Coast & Brisbane)). Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Bill

Re: Brisbane day trips

We did the condamine river rd trip via queen mary falls yesterday. Great drive, green lush scenery, windy hill climbs, waterfalls, bird feeding for the kids and easy water crossings.

Re: Brisbane day trips

Question, just curious,...what's "the Lion's road" like as a day trip?
(in the same area from near Rathdowney down to Kyogle)
I thinks its all tarmac but quite twisty.

I went via that area on Boxing Day (going from BNE thru to Coffs) but was towing a 1.8t van so was advised not to take it and stick to the Mt Lindesay hwy and then Summerland Way.
That route was twisty enough anyway. - still quite pretty and better than being stuck in a traffic jam on the Pacific Hwy.

Re: Brisbane day trips

Just a note on the drive from Boohah-Rathdowney Rd to the Queen Mary falls says no caravans, truck or buses, it is narrow and windy.

Re: Brisbane day trips

So I'm planning on a trip up to Booloumba Creek and just found there are some alerts on this track after the damage from Cyclone Marcia. 2 Bridges have been closed so Jimna-Bellthorpe rd between Mt kilcoy rd and 10 mile rd is closed for some time. And so is the track to Booloumba camp site from sunday creek from Peters creek car park. Also they say the campsites at camp area 3 on the creek are damaged, along with lots of trees over tracks, though they expect to have that all cleaned up soon.

I'm going to have to find some alternative tracks to get through. Don't want to drive on tarmac all the way.

Re: Brisbane day trips

Yeah, thanks. I have always struggled to find good detailed info on 4wd day trips around brisbane. Thought I'd collate what I'd found somewhere rather than keep it to myself. I just bought the hema explorer app for iphone too ($30 is a good deal), it has some good info on dirt tracks that aren't in google maps etc, but it still seems to lack some tracks that I know exist. And you have to pay for detailed maps for places like fraser on top of the app.

Yep, its the basis for a few of these trips, but my book is a bit outdated now and some of his tracks don't make much sense. The conondales one for instance, why head back to the tarmac at grigors rd when you can loop around to sunday creek rd? Well you could, can't anymore. But you can go up funnels hut rd.... anyway.
