I totally agree with this.
However, I'd like to see one in the black ripple powdercoat. It may blend a little better.

Re: Bullbar coming

I do not mind the black one. I really do not see how anyone could make a bull bar that is both functional and looks good. They need to be safe and strong, looks come a distant 3rd.

Agree. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.......or in the eye of the kangaroo lying on the side of the road that didn't see me coming and move out of the way.
Ps - I do actually like kangaroos except when they try and headbut the side of my Jeep.....

Latest pic off ECB FB page. Don't mind the lower door striping.

Re: Bullbar coming

To my eye, the bar is of poor esthetics and does not suit the lines of the car.
I am sure they could have spent a little more time on the cosmetic appearance.
Mind you, it may very well be practical for it's purpose. However, if it will not support a winch, I would not spend the money on it.

Agreed! In their previous add they qualified the recovery points as un-rated. I note that they have wisely removed that qualification although who knows if they have actually changed anything on the bullbar.

Re: Bullbar coming

I must admit, the hammer tone blends in a bit more - and would be what I got to blend in with my maximum steel. The design is probably somewhat constrained by the fact (for whatever reason) it is an 'over bumper' design. Right now we don't (to my knowledge) have anything to seriously compare it to. Maybe this will put a fire under ARB?

Re: Bullbar coming

Hey, be kind, it's the only choice at the moment and so far our score is ecb bar 1, kangaroos 0! It also carries the bug screen, spotlights and two aerials!! Is it pretty? No, but it is functional.

Re: Bullbar coming

all ecb need do is reduce how much the bottom bit stands out, and then it would like fine. maybe black along the bottom, leave the bumper and loops as polished alloy ... sweet!

Re: Bullbar coming

I saw an ARB bullbar on a Prado. Here is a pic from their add. It is slim as one would expect of a steel bullbar and quite square. I think it might look quite presentable on a WK2. It certainly looks good on this WK. All we have to do is wait... and wait...
