Not uncommon I know, but I live 50k north of Melbourne and drive every week to Airport. At best atm I sit on 70/80 on 100+ roads as each trip I'm dodging roos.
Front bar next on my list, just hope in the meantime I don't clean one or two up and end up with an insurance excess that could have 1/2 paid for a bar.

Thank you for your enquiry to ARB and your interest in our products.

ARB have been experiencing an extended busy period with a high demand on our engineers. This has caused us to run a little behind on product development for a few vehicles.

We anticipate starting develop of a winch bar for the Grand Cherokee this year and I hope that it will be available to order early next year.

Bushranger side steps are already available and there may be other products developed for this vehicle also, however I can’t confirm details at this stage.

Kind regards

Andrew Bellamy
Product Manager"
The guy I've been chatting with at ARB tells me that they are also doing a trakmaster towbar for the GC.

They wont have a suspension kit available anytime soon, as the front strut in the GC is larger than any other strut they currently make.

If you look at their site, you will see that it replaces the bumperbar support frame. By doing so, the Aussie MY12's may then also support the old dual recovery hooks as seen on the MY11's.
Pricing appears great, with the exception of around $700 for shipping.
It seems a more aesthetic approach than the big bull bars being offered locally.
I generally like it but the problem I see with it is that there is nothing protecting the very vulnerable air-dam area nor the areas between the air-dam and the engine skid plate. No one seems to be addressing this.

Re: Bullbar coming

The ECB bar has a lower protection plate that goes under the bullbar back to the jeep engine skid plate. It black powder coated.

Re: Bullbar coming

Found this, I know its not a bullbar bar but if someone is simply after a winch and recovery hooks would this be a valid solution. I really don't know as I don't have a JGC myself but am looking at one when I return to Aus and am already compiling my fitting out wish list.

Re: Bullbar coming

Does anyone on here live near ARB HQ/factory in Kilsyth, VIC (I believe)
If so, if you could be on the lookout for prototype bars...
I know its a long shot but hey, development has started (supposedly) and they generally drive them around or have them parked outside

Re: Bullbar coming

hahaha, I was planning on going there tomorrow to check out some of the Bushranger sidesteps. They may not be open due to the Melb Cup, and some people make a long, long weekend out of it. I'll keep an eye out, and ask if I remember.

I've seen the ECB bar being advertised, and I even saw one on a GC the other week heading up to QLD.

Re: Bullbar coming

Rumour has it that ARB have started R&D on a winch bar.

Re: Bullbar coming

Well, I didn't see anything at ARB, but the guy said they'd had a couple GC's in to be measured up and ETA is early next year. Unfortunately I cannot remember if he said "early next year, around Feb" or if he just said "early next year"

The guys were helpful, so, if you needed a better date, I'm sure they'd tell you straight up what they know if you gave them a call.
