The alignment was done today. The only adjustment was a minor toe in... no change to vehicle tracking.

The improvement I got was because of the bull bar weight.

FYI the final figures were:
Front.
Caster L 5deg25', R 5deg27"
Camber L -0deg 33', R -0deg 44"
Toe L +0.5mm, R +0.6mm

Rear - not adjusted.
Camber L -1deg 03", R - 0deg 36'
Toe L +0.2mm, R -0.5mm

The work done by Goodyear Capalaba - but hey really didn't adjust anything much.

Re: Bullbars...

Are there many choices of bullbar that would allow me to keep my Chief front hooks?

Cheers, Simon

Not sure as the attachment of bull bars is on the same part of the car as the chief hooks

Re: Bullbars...

I can confirm that you can't keep your chief or jeep recovery points if fitting an uneek bar.
I got my uneek bar fitted today so two chief recovery hooks going on sale.

The installer was good finished near 8pm! Started at 9am.

Issues, first my car was telling me my front left and right indicators aren't working (cool feature telling you your lights are out) but they were both still working ok. The uneek bar comes with nice led blinker lights as well as daytime running leds and fog lights.

All lights were functioning correctly. The installer plug a computer to my car to try and cancel the indicator error code. He cleared it, however now the daytime running lights do not come on when in parking lights mode. They do illuminate with all other light functions (this is when the car is running).

Gets interesting now, when the car is off the daytime running lights work in parking lights mode! Btw when engine is running and I switch to parking mode the cabin lights such as air con, quadralift etc are also off.
Another thing is that only one fog lights illuminates!

Now I think the installer messed up the lights when he attached his computer to the car and or they stuff up the wiring.
I think the former.

Anyway I'll get it fixed tomorrow hopefully!

Re: Bullbars...

Chief Products appears to be looking at making a hidden winch set up which sounds very interesting.

yep,

Keen to see what Chief can do especially after seeing their lower bar. If they could do a hidden or even an option of the lower bar with mount i would be keen.

Yeah was waiting for chief on the lower guard but I also wanted a winch. I was going to get the rocky road bar but the problem with the bar is that you couldn't remove the lower air dam, so your approach angle isn't as good.
When I go offroad I take off the lower air dam otherwise it will get damaged. So this lead me to the uneek bar.

Re: Bullbars...

I'm hoping the Chief pre-runner comes around at some point so I can consign the front air dam to a place in the garage permanently. Tired of removing it, to go off-road (and more tired of forgetting to take it off before leaving home)

Cheers, Simon

Nope - it won't fit Aus spec GC - we get a different front end to USA, thus the reason we cannot have factory recovery points.

The rocky road unit will only fit MY11 GC before JA deleted the recovery points.
