I believe you may have just found the first thing Armour All products are useful for!!

... the wipes themselves tend to be crap, unless possibly they might be useful for cleaning or shining up Snuke's gas cap.

Here in the USofA, if your vehicle has a pressure cap, most state emissions checks require that the pressure cap be tested to verify it actually holds to rated pressure.
They seemed to require replacement about every 5-6 years on mine--big deal.
No idea what happens for the capless systems.

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

Fuel tanks require pressure release, not pressurised.
I am guessing the capless tanks have a breather pipe to release pressure buildup.

Went to Bunnings and found what I was after. Blue 65mm agi drain cap $3.50 it also has 4 teeth which grip and you have to twist it to get it off.

Will probably spray it black as I have some matt black sitting in the garage..

Cheers

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

Well done Chocco......another positive result for this forum, and international cooperation.
Now you have the challenge of getting the diesel stickers to put on your new black cap.
What about taking the Jeep out and getting it filthy and giving us a report back?
Thanks
John

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

This is exactly what I was concerned about when the "tidbit" was released that it would have a capless gas tank. I knew that there would be issues with it because I drive off-road/gravel quite a bit and there's always dust caked all over the inside of the door of the gas hatch. Now... I know I come across as being negative sometimes but seriously, shouldn't the engineers have thought about this being a potential problem?

Good price, they're showing as $6.60 for me at both Bunnings and Masters.
