Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

I’m 50km away from the car, does anyone know what the diameter of the filler is?
I wonder if these Twin Air exhaust plugs may work. The inability to release pressure could be an issue though.

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

That and the car is now 6-8m away, the verniers are in between here and there, and I can't be bothered measuring it.

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

If someone has an idle 3D printer lying around, they could manufacture a cap.

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

I doubt a PLA or ABS printed cap would last long. While a CRD may be ok, and petrol will melt ABS and PLA cap. You are better to keep looking at off the shelf caps. Personally, I am leaving mine as is, as I never see dirt and think the current setup will work for most people.

I think you're underestimating the Peoples Liberation Army greatly.

Re: Capless fuel filler and dust

I meant the internal diameter, for plug purposes. I did actually measure it at 32mm.
A cap is a better idea.

Capless fuel filler and dust

Here is a photo of my FREE Jeep supplied fuel dust cap. Also, the dust that still got in after a run up the Tanami Road, Bungle Bungles, and, part of the Gibb River Road. At least the towel stopped it getting onto the filler directly. Thanks to a previous members post for the idea.
Also, I cleaned the air filter most days, and put in a new one in Kununurra.
