I just ordered a pair of black ones plus a cargo net from the same guy. His eBay add now shows 7 available, 2 sold of the black and 9 available 1 sold of the chrome. I guess that would be you, me and another guy. I chose black to blend in with the black air-dam, under-door trim and rear trim. My car is Black Forest Green which is virtually black so I didn't want too much chrome lest it look like a hearse.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Ordered mine from the same ebay seller a few months back and fitted them last Sunday. Easy job and the side steps look good and fitting was perfect as expected.

They look really good! I particularly like the gap to the car body. This avoids moisture build-up against the body which could encourage electrolysis corrosion. The seller (Roger Zhang of Jiangsu, China) claims he has posted my side-steps but the FedEx tracking number he gave yields nothing and Roger had gone on leave till 4 May. I just hope our mate Roger the Dodger comes good.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Roger just replied with a new tracking number. My side-steps went from Shanghai to Guangzhou and are now in transit in Singapore. Can't complain about that.

Received the side-steps 7 day after ordering, China to Australia. I've fitted them. It took about 2 hours for the first one and 15min for the second. I did it without removing the plastic trim. That made it a bit fiddly. My fingers aren't as delicate as they used to be. They look great but I'm not yet sure how practical they will be.

Did it the same way. No need to remove the plastic trim. On the practicality, not a very high practicality value for me but, apart from the good looks, they make the car "shopping center proof".
Already watched one Hyundai-driving mother making a big ding in her own door. Side steps are perfect for protection

They are worth it just for that.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Check your local dealers for OEM accessories special for end of year.

Albion Jeep (Brisbane) have these chrome side steps (82212129) on special:

$880.00 fitted or
$660.00 DIY
Inc GST

Just picked up a set and will install tomorrow.

For those interested, they have +/- 20 in stock. Cheaper than buying and importing from China! I suspect other goodies will be on special leading to 30 June.

I succumbed to the kids asking when the steps were coming.

I still think these should be stock standard on the Overland.
