Re: Chrome Side Steps

Hi All.
has anyone installed these from bosscoauto?
They look more like the Mopar original equipment (they aren't I know) and seem good for the price. I sent them and email and they will fit MY14 JGC. Also come in black.

Do you have a pic from the front, showing how far out they stick.
Want to know if they offer any type of door stopping protection.

Either way I should be ordering them in a couple of weeks.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Hi Snuke, will try and get you pic from the front later today. They do stick out quite a bit and should offer some protection from wayward doors, that is the main reason I fitted these myself.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Running boards stick out a bit too. This is also why I am fitting sidesteps on to offer better protections from the door bangers!

The only reason I fitted them was for this exact purpose.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Thanks excellent idea with the gate to show it clearly.
Of course different cars have different doors with different angles so we made be protected from some cars and not others, but at least I know we are protected from gates. I nearly had our front gate the falcon the other day.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Should be of help against most cars, but other four wheels drives maybe a problem. Always tend to park my vehicles at the back of car parks and then walk to where I need to go, but when you return to your car there is always some old bomb parked next to you.

SO true !

Thanks for posting the pictures.

I think other SUV/4WD are even more the enemy.....my work the car park spots are sooo small....All the JGC Owners fight over the best spots...usually the corners...or the ones next to the disabled spots..

that is a recipe for DISASTER.
I have seen it multiple times where the disabled car has parked into the next car.
