Re: Chrome Side Steps

One case was a comedy of errors, the guy in the disabled parking car didn't even realise he had parked his car about 30cm into the other cars drivers door.
Couldn't hear been called over loud speaker in store due to being slightly deaf with old age.
Reversed out of the other car in the worst possible way doing more damage.

I like these....not only would they protect my doors, but the inconsiderate bastard who swings his door open without care would get a healthy ding and chip in the edge of his door! Killing two birds, so to speak.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

They look good....if the photo was real. Looks like it's been photoshopped (poorly).

Hi Snuke, I bought my side steps from Everest. Good quality and easy install. You will need to remove the 4 nuts holding the cabling duct on the drivers side to install the brackets - no issue on the passenger side. My only advice would be to consider having another set of T bolts made using high tensile bolts. I actually snapped on supplied and decided to have a set made up. Only cost me $60.00. Only a personal observation.

Which bolts?

Can you please look at the installation guide and let me know

Installation Guide

They don't call anything a T bolt, so want to be 100% clear.

The bolts in question are the "short bolts", which according to the installation diagram, seem to be better than what I was supplied. Here's a photo of what I received. Yours are clearly better.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

Apart from removing the nuts holding the cable ducting, does this ducting pose any other issues?

These are the bolts it came with.

Re: Chrome Side Steps

The only reason you remove the cable ducting is to allow you easy access to insert the bolts if required. You will see what I mean. The bolts you have look good. Should do the job.
