Craigs Hut and Mt Buller

I'm going to be down at Mt Buller over the next week (for Targa High Country). If I get time I thought I'd take a trip up to Craig's Hut.

What is the best way to tackle the route - can I just start at Mt Buller and go via Mt Stirling and The Monument. Or should I stick to the Circuit Track starting at Mirimbah and via Telephone Box Junction. I'm note sure of how rugged the tracks are - I'm likely to be just one car but maybe also with someone in an Audi Allroad, so I prefer to to take the easiest route.

Advice appreciated!

Re: Craigs Hut and Mt Buller

Most tours appear to stick to the Buller/Stirling/Monument route.

When you have done your trip, do a write up. I'm keen to do that next year with the family. 😀 Enjoy.

Re: Craigs Hut and Mt Buller

I highly doubt an Audi Allroad will get up Monument track

Photo on Mt Stirling track. No we didn't get to Craig's Hut - ran out of time with my other Targa duties. But it is a beautify area and I'll ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1446953385.701938.jpg be back for a longer stay in the future....
