CRD Filters

Folks,

I went to my local autopro store thother day and they quoted me $20 + freight for an oil filter for my 2012 CRD.

It seems that wesfil-coopers are doing them now. check out the link to the listing below

Re: CRD Filters

Thanks Brett. This is good news, thanks for sharing.

I used a place called Sydney Filters to get stuff for the old Jackaroo. I asked them some months back if filters were coming through for the CRD, and they advised that MANN filters have listed the CRD but were 6 months away from release. So should be close if not already.

Re: CRD Filters

I posted this in the diesel section of this forum, but probably more relevant to the Aussie section...

I checked with them (Eziautoparts) today, for this response....part email quoted.

"Links to the parts are as follows:

WA5135 - http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/wesfi...er-wa5135.html - $20.40
WCO163 - http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/wesfi...er-wco163.html - $16.70
WCF203 - http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/wesfi...er-wcf203.html - $29.25
WACF0154 - http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/wesfi...-wacf0154.html - $17.55.

We don’t have these filters in stock but Wesfil has stock. I am ordering from them today so, if you want to purchase and order before midday, I can have them in the mail to you either tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday morning."

I will order a cabin filter and spare fuel filters from them. For now I'll stick with genuine air filter and oil filter.
John

and this....

I ordered a cabin filter @ $17.55 and 2x fuel filters @ $29.25/ea from them just now. Total price inc postage was $90.75. Was a very easy transaction over the phone.
Pretty reasonable I thought and I'll check out the quality and make a decison on the air and oil filters.
Thanks Swampthing1962 !! for the original info.
John

Re: CRD Filters

Today I received the cabin filter and 2 fuel filters ordered last week in the mail.
They all look the goods (does say made in PRC) and I'll feel a bit better having the 2 spare fuel filters stashed on board. At the price it's cheap insurance.

Re: CRD Filters

Good to see that GC WK CRD owners are looking at after market filters for oil, air, cabin and fuel. The new Chrysler diesel oil filter is a ridiculous price. I had my GC 30,000 km serviced at a dealership in Cairns recently. They charged $206.63 for the oil filter. Not happy. Contacted Jeep Aus. and they couldn't quote a price. Still in the process of trying for a reduction in the cost.

Re: CRD Filters

$206 is about the price for the oil. Oil filter should only be $55. Ring up their spare parts and ask them HIW much, then phone service dept.

Re: CRD Filters

Thanks for the response. Did all you sujested before I posted the thread. Jeep Aus. couldn't give me a price even after 3 days. The filter part# has changed and it seems as though Jeep are trying to jack up the price. I have an ongoing case file with Jeep Aus. and will post the results when it is finally closed. Doug.

Re: CRD Filters

Yes you are correct re the price and part numbers for the CRD oil filters.
Spoke to Narellan last Friday and was informed that the oil filter part number has changed and the price of the filter has gone up another $30.

Where do Jeep get off re prices.

With this forum the information re prices and availability of the filters is price less.

Ryco now have some filters available
Search Application : Air Filters, Oil Filters and Fuel Filters :: Ryco Filters :: Automotive Filters Australia

Jeep have a lot to learn re the Australian consumer

Re: CRD Filters

Just read your post and am pleased to say the dealer in Cairns has finally agreed to refund the overcharge for the oil filter. The refund will be about $146 or so. That should bring the real price for the filter to about $60. Still expensive when you consider the Wesfil or Ryco oil filter prices, but a lot better than $206. Doug.

Are Jeep Kidding? I can't believe they expect JGC owners to pay $60 for a disposable oil Filter! Anyone keen on a group buy of 10? PArt Number 68191349AA. Suits V6 Diesel (3.0L) & Petrol(3.6L)...

Can get Mopar on Ebay for $8ea + shipping! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MOPAR-OEM...item4180b699fe

Re: CRD Filters

The filters are not $60 they are $50 plus the increase of $30. Pretty steap.

Re: CRD Filters

Hi, Thx for the reply. Regarding the link to Ebay for filters. The part #'s for the WK 3.0 Diesel engine are:- Old Mopar # CH68109834AA. New Mopar # CH68229402AA. Couldn't find these using the link. Doug.
