Hi all ,
Brand new 3.0 crd limited grand
When useing the Cruise Control i want to go faster i press the + and 9 times out of 10 it does what its supposed to

3 times now (its got 600 km on it ) the cruise just disconects and the cruise indicator goes out on the dash . if i turn it back on nothing happens . the indicator will not come back on

The only way to get ti to work is pull over and turn off . Start it back up and all is fine

Is it passionate fingers and im doing something wrong or do i have a fault and has anyyone experienced it
Thanks
LEN

Had the camera fitted and firmware update at the same time. Good news is that the firmware update fixed the cruise control - works perfectly now. The camera is better than not having one, but the view is really distorted (far more than work vehicles I drive reversing cameras) and is a complete loss at night. The dealer was good - reasonable loan car and ready on time.

Well after 3 weeks of trying all different combinations was unable to find any pattern to the cruise control taking 2-4 goes to get it to stay on each time.. Maybe 1 in about 5 times it will work first go..once on stays on... Today thou was first time ever that it did as the TSB and had it shut off and be disabled.. I tapped the set + at about a 1/2 second rate about 5 times to increase speed from 90 to 100 and off it went.. Normally I tap to faster than that or hold finger on it.. So will see if that repeatable.. When I restated car it came back and worked first go on 2 occasions.. Will see if that keeps happening.. Was always going to get TSB done when I take it for service (in 6k km) anyway but thought I would entertain see and see if could find pattern to make it liveable till then.

I have been having the same problem with mine - has dropped out of cruise 3 times and only when increasing speed never when decreasing.

Also when you try to select cruise while moving it wont engage unless you are really quick turning it on then hitting set.(same problem Gus described)

Like you I have experimented with different things and found the only way to have no issues at all was to turn cruise on while at a standstill. Then you cancel/resume and adjust as you wish.

At least this seems to have worked so far.

Leggo I have not had any luck with setting it on while at a standstill on mine.. Only tried it a couple of times normally forget till I am few mins down road.. Only 5k km to go till service and TSB update to fix it (hopefully) but based on others I am confident it will be ok..

I had the car serviced today, I haven't drive it yet, but I jumped in and turned the cruise on and off and it worked 100% of the time which it never did before.

My wife was attempting to adjust the set speed and managed to "bridge" 2 of the control buttons. This resulted in an automatic cruise control shutdown. On stopping, turning off then restarting cruise re-activated without problems.
It appears that the buttons are sensitive to being pushed "dead centre" to get proper contact. Otherwise haven't experienced the issues described.

Looks like my issue may be down to a button being faulty or possible steering wheel issue. When I press the set + button close to the very left hand side of that individual button it shuts off the cruise control every time. This is done without depressing any other buttons. Guess I'll be back to the dealer again very soon.

I had a problem where my i couldn't turn cruise control on for days at a time. Stopping and starting the car would not fix it. Suddenly it would start working again, be okay for a few weeks, then stop again.

The problem was eventually traced to a faulty wheel speed sensor. As soon as the error code is cleared cruise control starts working again.

There is a TSB posted on one of the pages that several of us had applied by the dealer to fix the issue.
