Re: Cruise Control . Just stops

A similar issue came up in the AJOR forum, some useful info in this post:

Cruise control switching itself off - Page 2 - AUSJEEPOFFROAD.COM - AJOR

Quote:
Also just found a Starcase S1208000423 Cruise Control Intermittently Inop .
Very similar to the N58 update for the 2014 Wk's with the cluster and radio screens dropping out & going black , all of these systems use common ground circuits that are grouped together through out the car , Check the Harness Ground locations on the drivers side frame rail inside the engine bay , if these are not tight they can cause invalid signals from the break switch , disable cruise & implausible data recieved from ECM /PCM .

Re: Cruise Control . Just stops

My 2011 (december) GK kept on going off and not coming back on. I turned out to be the ACC sensor dome connection on the front air dam was full of water. dried it out, cleaned the terminals and made it more waterproof, problem solved. Before getting too involved see threads on this forum re "Removing front air dam".

Re: Cruise Control . Just stops

Hi guys i just picked up my GC limited and I have the same problem. It seems to be worse if you hold down your finger then increment the speed 1km at a time.. I have 1000km on clock.. Only way to get it back once it dissapears is to stop engine and start again..

Cheers Joey

Re: Cruise Control . Just stops

I had this problem about 6 months ago (ie. cruise would turn itself off and not come back on without a restart) and the dealer tried a couple of things including software updates
before eventually diagnosing it as something to do with the switch assembly on the steering wheel which they replaced and it hasn't missed a beat since.

I originally argued that couldn't be the switch because why would a restart fix it and was quite disappointed when they told me this is what they had done but to my surprise it fixed it and I haven't had the problem since.

My dealer was Armstrong's in Toowoomba.

Not to add to the confusion but I have the same issue and the replacement of buttons on my steering wheel didn't fix anything. My car is having a couple of modules replaced next week to once again try and fix the problem. I'll keep you all posted on the outcome.

That is two versions behind. Your dealer really should have 13.43.7, the latest you can get is 13.51.1

See this thread - UConnect 8.4 International / Export

Again, they will not have 13.51.1. You can download this yourself from the Uconnect site - https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do
No one has found the change log for 13.51.1
I have contacted Chysler for it, but there reply indicated that they’re passing this on to Jeep Aus. That was a week ago, funnily enough no further contact form them.
