Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Yours seems spotless too?.best give mine a clean.
So I've placed front cam as Snukes, then chose to place the rear cam at the bottom as the heating elements got in the way at the top.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

I either have a crappy 64Gb card (free samsung one) or the cam is a lemon, as on playback it goes for 10secs then pauses then starts and so on.
Settings are all default.
I'll try the 16Gb blackvue card that came with it.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Did you format the 64 G card? Hold the wifi button in for 10 seconds. This will format most cards.
SNUKE. re the iPhone not connecting. The initial password is Blackvue then type in blackvue lower case. Worked for mine.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Won't even connect to the WiFi to ask for password, which I have already changed.

The WiFi has been announcing that it is turning off recently, is this a case of me reading the manual and it says it times out of not connected, as I don't recall it doing this in the past.

Too slack to go to car now and try with updated app, too slack to open owners manual pdf on this very same device I am typing with. Jeezuz, what a dick.

That last paragraph made me chuckle. Snuke, I formatted the SD on the laptop using a full format via the program from download page then changed the SSID and password however going back to the car, (I used the iPhone this time) and it saw the new SSID but wouldn't connect using my new password...I tried default password: blackvue and it connected :-/ weird.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Custom bracket made from 12mm x 4mm aluminum stock. Hand formed to mount on the rear view mirror. The dashcam is a noname grey market dual camera unit that was 249 USD under a different brand name. I paid 59 USD ordered from Geekbuying.com. It runs a 32Gb video loop and runs all the time when the ignition is on. It has a GPS hookup and G-sensor for use if always powered on. Cheap but has worked well for a year.

Looks like it should be fine: http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/bu...c/MB-MP64DAAPC
but it's not great compared to the default 16GB.
