I got a Mini 0805 a few months ago. Very pleased with it. My everyday drive is a Mk7 Golf and I'm now thinking of getting another Mini for that especially after a whole lot of near misses (not my fault) lately.

Cheers
Ian

Well clearly it wasn't sitting in then one spot for 4 days and the revving of the engine, well they were just making sure your battery got that little extra charge so it didn't go flat.....lol dumbass employees.

Has anyone got the Mini 0806? If so, are you happy with it in the Jeep?

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

I wouldn't mind a rear facing camera to see the antics of the drivers behind me. Should be worth a few laughs.

Barboots, where did you buy from? Also, for front only or front and rear?

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

I bought this one mate:

eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...273582&alt=web

It arrived Friday and I rooted around for a bit trying to find the optimal installation location. The Overland fluff makes it a bit harder than what it might have been otherwise... it's quite hard to keep the fat mirror mount and/or A pillar out of the image. I've currently got it mocked up and am doing a few test runs. I'll post some further observations and some video links once I have tweaked things to the point that I'm not embarrassing myself.

Cheers,
Steve

Just read a review of he Mini 0806 Steve. Looks like a lot more features than the 0805. Here's where I mounted the 0805 then just played with the vertical adjustment so as not to get too much bonnet. I've just got it set at 1920 x 1080, not yet tried a higher res.

cheers
Ian

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

You don't want too much sky either or it will wash out all detail. You will need to do some test to find the best angle.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Yeah that's where mine is positioned Ian, though on the passenger's side.

I went uSD card shopping today, but couldn't bear the retail prices for crappy low grade memory. Any referrals regarding good online pricing for 64GB or greater appreciated.

Cheers,
Steve
