Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Thanks, I just installed it in a similar fashion. The pics gave me a lot of confidence to rip shit apart. The section in front of the rear centre rear mirror is different on a Ltd, it is bulkier as it has a sensor there that is no doubt covered by the one you guys have in the grill. Initially I had the cable running just under the knee airbag, so driver side of the OBDII port, I decided to route it behind there as it was more secure, I think this is how you have it too. I put all of the slack in behind the plastic next to where your left knee would sit, if it rattles at some point easy to access and fix.

The hardest part was the bloody rear camera cable and getting it through that rubber boot. I then had the rear camera in a spot that put a line dead centre, ripped it off and replaced, only to realise no matter how I have the heating element will be in view. I ended up with about 50cm of extra cable, it is currently looped and stuffed in the head liner.

For some reason the WiFi won't connect to my iphone, but it will to the misses Galaxy Note 2. I will remove and reinstall the app to see if that helps.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

iPhone just won't connect, and now the Note 2 has crashed and won't turn on. It's annoying that you have to take the power and video cable off to get the SD card out.

Snuke, you should only need to take out the power cable then that swivel lid will allow access to the SD card. Thats all I have removed.

Snuke, I have set my motion sensitivity halfway as I think tree branches swaying in the wind is setting off recording in parking mode and it chewed up 32G real fast

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Let me now how it goes.
I just put in the 64GB card, I think I need to clean the lens, all the footage was crappy, lights of refractions from light sources.
Still no love from iPhone. The Telstra Dave Android phone connected straight away.

I changed it from 1 min to 3 min recording intervals. WiFi on Automatically, audio queues down to 20%, and they will eventually be off once it proves it doing everything a we want.
I went to the Supermarket, and it recorded the entire time I was in the shop as people walked past.
Audio starts to crackle with music at about level 16, especially if it's bassy.

Re: Dash Cams - Down Under

Will do.

The 64GB card you used is it SDHC MicroSD or SDXC MicroSD?
