Dash Leather Lifting

Hello to all.

Just noticed that the leather on the dash for our MY12 Overland is starting to bubble / lift on the left side near the A pillar.

Unfortunately, the vehicle is about 4 months out of warranty.

Has any body else had issues with the same, and if so, how did you get it resolved?

Or, can anyone in Perth recommend an Auto upholsterer in Perth that they would trust for such a job?

Mine lifted around the centre speaker 1 week out of warranty...seemed to coincide with the windscreen replacement a couple of months ago. I have popped out the vent grill today and hot glued the "leather" back down. The job came out alright but I will see if it survives next summer...that is if the hot temperatures remelts the glue. My only issue is I cant seem to click the vent grill back down between the centre speaker and the windscreen. I am not sure whether there is a trick to this. The rest clips in nice and snug, just that the vent panel is slightly lifted in this area. Off to do a bit of research but if anyone can send a photo of the panel around the centre speaker, it would be good to compare mine.

Cheers.

Had the dash in my very early MY14 replaced under warranty at about 5kkm. It was an awfully executed job and I spewed every time I got into the car. Nickjac has a happy story, but that only makes for even odds for having the work done.

Got a photo of the problem area Swampy?

Cheers,
Steve
