Dash Lights?

Maybe a really stupid question, but is there a way to sit in the car listen to the radio and turn OFF all interior lights including the dash and Uconnect screen?

Looking at heading to the Drive in Movies so will have the tailgate up and would like to have radio on for the duration of the movies and all lights off

Thanks
Mark

Try the dash dimmer, a roller wheel near headlight switch\knob. Also there's a hard button below Uconnect screen and on left that switches screen off. Useful on long trips at night.

I tried the wheel and it only seems to adjust the cabin lights does nothing to the dash lights which differs to every other car I have driven?
But have to thank you, I did miss the big button that says "Screen Off" below the Uconnect screen.

Yeah the dimmer probably only works with headlights on, the first stage working the interior lights then dimming. Duh...my mistake. Been awhile since ive seen a driveIn let alone go to one. What about changing the brightness in the Uconnect settings for daytime use?

The wheel and the Uconnect settings seem to change the brightness only when the car is in run, when in Accessories the dash is at full brightness with no apparent way of adjusting as Iguana and Dreamer have confirm.
Thought I was having one of my blonde moments and overlooking the obvious.

Took the kids to the drive ins the other night and tried everything, Ended up putting a blanket over the dash and during the movie had to turn acc back on twice as after a certain period of time everything switches off.
Blanket over the dash seems to be the way to go, but having to keep pressing the button sounds like a pain in the bum when all comfortable in the back

I did not know that about the '14 models. Pity, my old '11 has so many great features that they have silently removed for the newer models.

Hahaha not far behind you here in Perth, only 1 Drive Inn left in existance - seems to have a following and has been busy each night I have been :)

Interesting thing about the 2014's button - What the hell is the point of the key in the fob if we have nowhere to stick it

The key will unlock the driver door in the event the fob battery dies, so fear not, there's still a place to stick your key.

To start the Jeep with a dead fob battery supposedly you push the start/stop button with the tip of the fob, per the manual:

"NOTE: In case the ignition switch does not change with the push of a button, the RKE transmitter (Key Fob) may have a low or dead battery. In this situation a back up method can be used to operate the ignition switch. Put the nose side (side opposite of the emergency key) of the Key Fob against the ENGINE START/STOP button and push to operate the ignition switch."
