Re: Diesel engine block heater

Not needed in Australia. Maybe a Kiwi can respond for NZ?

Re: Diesel engine block heater

Hi,
I still cannot get hold of the v6 3.0 diesel block heater part number for my wk2 GC I am thinking of using a Wolverine heater instead. Is the oil pan ( sump) for the WK2 GC diesel has a smooth flat surface at the bottom to stick the Wolverine heater? Has any one fitted this type of heater to their diesel GC wk2?

Thanks.

Re: Diesel engine block heater

Try eBay Stores Tasca OEM Parts
eBay item number 281179355283
Block Heater 3.0L 2014 JGC P# 4609325AB

Don't know if it fits 2011 - 2013

Re: Diesel engine block heater

Hi
I did try Tasca store and the reply was that they do not deal in turbo diesel gc. So it looks like that I cannot get hold of the block heater that is fitted to 2014 diesel Grand Cherokee WK2??

Re: Diesel engine block heater

The CRD has only just been released in the USA. It may be worth trying the Mopar Store or Just for Jeeps, as they may have stock now that this Diesel is available locally in the USA.

Smile Re: Diesel engine block heater

Hi
Is the 2011 diesel engine block identical to the 2014 US model GC diesel engines? I thought they are both VM Motori V6 3.0.
The reason for this question is to see if can fit the 2014 diesel engine heater as fitted to US 2014 model diesel GC to my 2011 GC export model diesel engine? Jeep dealers here in UK answer is it is not listed in the parts list. ( 110v power rating not a problem as I will be using a step down transformer).
Thanks

Have a look on the 2012 Diesel Powered Thread. There's a few postings from our American cousins on the same subject. Would imagine you would also require dual batteries due to the current draw from a block heater. The company we purchase from is Hotstart in the US for our Aussie diesels.

Re: Diesel engine block heater

Thanks for the reply. But the engine block heater I am looking for is the one as fitted to 2014 model diesel Jeep grand Cherokee and it works off mains supply and not from the battery.
Thanks

Re: Diesel engine block heater

2014 Eco diesel block heater cable is Mopar part #68186526-AB. You can get it from Mopar directly or for less money at Wholesalemorpar.com for $52.46 + shipping. I don't know the part number for the heater itself. New Jeep diesels have the heater preinstalled but missing the cable unless you purchase the block heater option for $95.
