I'm just saying the EVIC on mine seems spot on.

When the fuel got down to 58kms left, the Evic chimed and then displayed the message Low Fuel. After that the DTE KMs just went blank, did not register anything?

Anyone else had something similar?
I just yesterday looked at a used 2011 JGC Limited and test drove it. It had the "low fuel" lite on . However, it did NOT register any amount of miles to empty as did my 95, 99 and my present 2006 JGC. So I mentioned this tothe sales person but she was unfamiliar with that feature. I have a feeling that all you get on 2011 and 2012 is a chime for quarter of a tank and then "low fuel" warning which I think is terrible- I need to know it's on 1 mile to empty or 0 to empty.....

If the 2011 isn't any different than the 12 then it's in the EVIC, under the Fuel Economy, if memory serves me right.

It's simple. For example on my WK2. I get the low fuel message around 30ish miles left. Usually about 3 gallons left in my case. I look at my odometer and add 30ish miles. That's when I'd hit 0, when I reach that odometer number. Stop for fuel by then. In my testing of my fuel range, the EVIC is pretty accurate with the distance to empty. When it hits low fuel you should be stopping soon. Well, with my low mpgs on the SRT8 it's more critical to stop soon since the range is low. You guys getting 20ish mpg have more leeway.

Re: Distance to Empty

Got to test the low fuel on my previous GC on a trip through the centre towing 2+ ton van, weather conditions at the time were not favourable for towing. Low fuel warning on evic drove for another 50klms pulled into a lonely out of the way garage and put 83lts into what was suppose to be a 78lt tank certainly had the heart pumping, not a happy camper when you are doing 26 to 29 lts per 100klms.
