It's simple. For example on my WK2. I get the low fuel message around 30ish miles left. Usually about 3 gallons left in my case. I look at my odometer and add 30ish miles. That's when I'd hit 0, when I reach that odometer number. Stop for fuel by then. In my testing of my fuel range, the EVIC is pretty accurate with the distance to empty. When it hits low fuel you should be stopping soon. Well, with my low mpgs on the SRT8 it's more critical to stop soon since the range is low. You guys getting 20ish mpg have more leeway.
