Dog Barrier

Guys anyone in Brisbane fitted a genuine dog Barrier to grand cherokee. Mine is a 2014 model.

Re: Dog Barrier

I installed the Mopar pet barrier. Very labor intensive since all the rear cargo trim panels need to come out and the rear portion of headliner dropped.
Heavy duty mounts attach to the Jeeps sheet metal
Added secure anchor points and a rear LED cargo light as well.

Re: Dog Barrier

I had one added too but in Adelaide, the only concern I have with it is the gaps on the sides, as a cargo barrier it would have been better without the gaps. Its not too bad though. As reported before, its a complicated install ! Glad I negotiated it in when ordering my GC as a package deal.

Seedar.

Re: Dog Barrier

will post some pictures as soon as I can
dropping headliner is not too much problem, I let it hang down just enough to put the brackets in, makes for a tight work area but doable
have to remove panels up to the B pillars and velcro around Pano and then it hangs down, just keep it from bending and creating a permanent crease.
added "wings" to each side of barrier so the dog can't squeeze by, made them out of wood and secured with zip ties. Looks better than it sounds.
took my time and everything came out perfect, very pleased with the results. BTW just finished installing Mopar Rock rails and now working on making new luggage-rack rails to fit with Garvin Wilderness Rack. Need this to carry the Hi-Lift jack. Still have to figure out the Billet Catch can. Threw a code when installed.

Re: Dog Barrier

Photos would be great - in particular of the mounting locations . I'm concerned about the finish around the mounts / holes on the trim.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dog Barrier

My dog's large so he cant get around the sides and the mouting points are quite neat, will send photos if I am not beaten to it :-)

Also just taken ours into the desert and off road on quite corrugated roads and no rattle issues, all nice and quiet after quite a shaking.
