Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

I might be mistaken, but I think you need a paid app on your iphone for text to speech. Something like Vlingo?

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

Beerenton is referring to the MEMO function, rather than the MSG function. In VR mode, you can say "MEMO" and the HDD will record your voice. It would be useful for example recording a certain adddress, or number plate, or a reminder etc.

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

I specified the genuine Jeep ParkSense sensor kits for front and rear - $1400 worth! They'd better be fully integrated with the car like the factory ones.

Limited/Overland owners - is there a graphic display in the evic or somewhere, or does it just beep? I can't remember from the limited I drove last year...

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

Beep Beep Beep Beep -No display for front.
If you have a rear cam, you get a display, with coloured guidelines on the radio screen, as well as the Beep Beep Beep Beep etc

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

Thanks guys. Actually I was referring to text-to-speech for SMS text messages, the book says it will read it out loud, and then you can send a reply SMS via speech instructions. There's about 20 preset SMS messages you can send.

Quick drive last night - it is awesome. Got a few pages into the manual before bed. Found the section where it can read out text messages, and reply?? Has anyone used that?

Will post daylight pics and more reviews in the next week.
Congrats, you'll love it as we all do. Enjoy.
8degrees here in Melbourne today and the heated seats are getting a workout. Love them too.

I have tried it on about 6 different phones and none work.
iPhone, Droid and WinMo 7.5, nothing works. Looks like a Jeep documented failure.

Overland has the park sensor graphic display in the EVIC display.

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

Hi folks, does anyone know how long the travel from the US to Aus by ship takes?, Do we have all the names for the ships that do the carrying?. I just found that the Oberon is about to round the top of NZ if it is of any interest to anyone.

Mine was on the water for 4 weeks extact. Its been at the docks since a week last Thursday so I anticipate a call soon to collect.

Re: Downunder - Orders to Delivery thread

How do you work out when your ship is going to go through the canal?

The libra leader is currently docked in Manzanillo, is there a way of seeing what time it's scheduled to go through the canal?
