Re: Dual battery MY14 Overland CRD

Just wondering if I need to use a DC to DC charger or will a standard dual battery isolator work? do they have a variable voltage alternator? or a temperature compensating Alternator?

Hi Blakman,

You will never achieve 100% charge with a dual battery isolator, maybe 80% if you are lucky. The only way to do it properly is with a DC to DC charger. Might cost a bit more but worth it in the long run.
