Did you get a case number mate? Keep chasing them up as they are useless at getting back to you. When you get thru to the customer care rep, ask them to transfer you to the resolution centre and if the line is busy, ask them to get the res centre to call you back. I'm dealing with a fantastic person atm, ask for Julia if you can in the res centre.

Good luck and don't accept the acceptable usage crap.

Thanks for the tip. I do not have a case number yet but I am sure I will need to keep chasing them.

Still no reply from them after more than 2 weeks. Called the Customer Care team who were not aware of the emails. They said this goes to another group and they may not have got to them yet. They created a case number and will escalate the issue. I live in hope.

Same thing happened to me, took 3 calls from memory before I got a case number. The call centre pass it onto the Resolution group. Once I got the case number, it took a couple of weeks before I got a response from the RG, once that happened, it finally started to get somewhere.

I picked my GC up on Tues, new trans, clunking still there (I suspect its diff lash), change smoothness is totally random, sometimes sweet, other times highly noticeable and it now bumps on a light throttle 3>2 shift

I told them not to give the thing back until it was fixed and they said they would (3 weeks). Dealer assured me it was now sweet. Pretty much at breaking point now, FCA have been notified and they are looking at taking the the thing off me again until fixed

That's the st maxx effect. My car feels like a nugget off the line any time I put mine back on.

Re: FCA customer support still useless?

The accelerator pedal on the diesel is not as sharp as it could be off the mark which requires compensation in my view. I read somewhere that the new model has a more linear throttle response?

Re: FCA customer support still useless?

Yeah, I read that too, I think they made changes for the MY16 to throttle response.

Re: FCA customer support still useless?

My customer service issue is still ongoing.

2 emails and 2 phone calls. I got a case number and they say that they will be escalating the issue again

8 weeks an I am still waiting to get a response from FCA.

Re: FCA customer support still useless?

I got a new gearbox about a month ago, as soon as I drove it home, I knew it was still wrong and seemingly worse, I now get fan roar for some reason, cold starts and initial take-off, it revs to 2K and creeps forwards slowly, like when a worn auto doesn't build enough fluid pressure on a cold start. One thing I noticed, is the trans temp is already around 28 degrees on cold starts, despite ambient being far less and its been sitting for 12+ hours.

So gave it to the dealer for 8 working days (12 days away), asking them to give me an update. Never got anything, called them on day 12, no one in service so left a message with reception saying I want the car back this arvo (it was a previously agreed pick up date). No call back for a few hours, approaching closing time, called again and got someone and arranged to pick up after hours. Got a call the next day saying they are returning my call....

Guess what, nothing done except sending a report to FCA. This is more a dealer issue though, FCA customer care facilitate and the lady I deal with Julia, is excellent.

Mercedes did a great job in building a competent vehicle in the GC, there are recurring issues with it (like all brands) but still, it's let down by their support and I get the distinct feeling the dealers don't like what FCA are implementing to improve this area after I had a talk with someone...

Re: FCA customer support still useless?

Noticed that the Mopar website has an online service booking function back in action - but the service cost that used to be there is still nowhere to be seen.
