Members may or may not know of this FCA query page where you can enter your VIN and view any outstanding recalls related to your vehicle.

I was a bit surprised when after entering my VIN i discovered a recall relating to the TIPM module - where the integrated fuel pump relay may fail, and requiring the installation of an external relay. (o dear - parts not available!!!!)
I had no idea this recall existed, despite the vehicle being serviced only a matter of a couple of weeks ago - never mentioned.

I was aware that there also exists one on the EGR hose replacement (o dear - parts not available!!!!!).

At least you'll be armed with a bit more info when you visit your dealer.

I know I've had P64 done, but as far as I'm aware not the other two.

Yep same as our 2012 - RO9 is the TIPM module fuel pump relay.
Might be an earlier model thing…….

Well, well. After nearly 4 years of ownership I got my first ever recall letter in the mail today from FCA. The recall is for R09.

I don't think I'll rush out and get it done - it can wait till next service.

But what the hell FCA? I'm getting freaked out by what appears to be signs of customer service!

I have had 3 arrive in the last week.
The first 2 told me that they sent them a year ago & I had not had them done yet.
Not true though as this is the first time I knew about them.
And the 3rd one is a new one so they say.
So I have P36 (the sunvisor one), P14 (the brake booster one) & R09 which is the TIPM module issue.
I read recently that FCA were fined a million dollars in the USA as a result of not correctly looking after these sort of issues or something like that so am wondering if that has provided some incentive for them to make sure they do the right thing going forward?
Anyway looks like my vehicle will spend a day at the Dealers.
I am wondering though if its even worth taking it to them for these issues?
I checked my vehicle using the VIN & it shows a campaign for an EGR hose replacement as well.

I believe FCA was fined $105 million here in the states... one of the largest (or largest) ever levied against an automaker. This was for being slow in notifying owners of problems and for being even slower in providing replacement parts for repairs. I still have the P67 recall outstanding on mine along with one more that I can't remember at the moment.

I also received Recall letters in the past few weeks.
R09 and P36.
Funny thing is I received a P36 letter late last year. I mentioned it at my last service, which was at Narellan, who told me that there was nothing showing for it re my Jeep on their computer. Therefore would not do it.
Sure wish they would get their act together.

I'm away at the moment but just had a call from my dealer, R09 Parts are in, looks like a fix for next week.

I've been ignoring the R09 fuel pump recall letters. However, FCA have just sent me a registered letter about it. I guess they want to able to prove that they did notify me so they are getting serious. I suppose I'll have to get it done but I won't let them suck me in for a full service.
