I ended up buying my Mopar cargo mat from the dealer i bought the car from (Waitara, Sydney) for $155.
I did search the online sites here and in USA and thought buying from US was a good idea. I did place an order for a bunch of parts including the mopar cargo mat (x2 as a friend wanted one also) from factorychryslerparts.com as they were the cheapest and claimed they shipped internationally. Their website showed that for the cargo mat it is an additional $25US each for handling fee.
I paid via paypal, factorychryslerparts.com took the money and didn't ship straight away. A few days later i find out they have deleted the cargo mats (x2) from the order due to it being too big for international shipping and refunded to me the cost of the cargo mats only...but didn't refund the $25US x2 = $50US handling fee
. I kept emailing them highlighting their mistake but they didn't want to refund the rest and they kept on saying they have refunded the cost of the cargo mat (yeah but the extra handling fee they thought they didn't need to refund
). I tried in vein to reason with them and when i saw that i'm not getting anywhere with them i contacted Paypal resolution centre
. They were great, i inputted all facts into the resolution centre and within a week i received a call from Paypal, basically saying would i be happy closing the case if Paypal put $50US in my account...i said yes
I then asked the lady i was talking to "will Paypal retrieve the $50 from the seller?", she said "Paypal will ask for it but can't force them to pay up, but it will be on record if others have similar issues with the seller"
The lock nuts i bought from them, the packaging was opened and one of the nuts had been 'used' as it had grease on the thread and marks on the tapered part that contacts the alloy wheel. Even after supplying pictures of the packaging and grease they denied that they supplied used items
. Lucky i wasn't thinking of trying to sell these as new.
I will be thinking twice buying anything from this mob again as their attitude and customer service skills was crap
. Be warned. But they did have the lowest prices.
