Re: Front end alignment

I have generated a document with the help of another forum member which has the specs for WK/WK2 RHD models.

Most cowboys will say the GC does not have caster adjustments, print out the pdf and walk into the shop with it.

Great stuff! Unfortunately for me, this is for the steel suspension and I have quadra-lift. I expect it to be much the same but not sure till I see it. What was your source? I'd like to see the quadra-lift version.

Re: Front end alignment

Just had all four wheels aligned - the rear wheels are adjustable on the Jeep. Back wheels were out 2 deg and 3 deg. Went in initially for a front wheel balance and alignment and the manager mentioned the rear wheels were adjustable when I picked it up. I noticed it still had a slight pull to the left so I turned around after a couple of km and had the rear wheels done as well. The manager didn't charge me for the rear alignment and balance so I ended up paying $69 for the lot. Pretty happy with that. That was at Bridgestone Castle Hill next door to Beaurepairs.

IMAZ.

As stated. Pretty much sorted the Sorrie, but am working on the Dealer at this time for the JGC.

Specialist wheel alignment places that know their business will check alignment of all 4 wheels.
It's not unusual to have a problem with a rear wheel creating an issue with tracking.
I asked our Jeep dealer to check the alignment when new and again at about 30,000 k's, they charge about $60 but that is cheaper than scrubbing tyres. We now have done 50,000 k's and will get at least 60,000 plus. One small complaint is that the steering can be a little vague at straight ahead but over all very good.

Enjens, certainly our dealer doesn't have the specialist alignment gear to check and align all 4 wheels.
That's the point of seeking out an aligner that understands AWD/4WD vehicles and has the experience and gear to do the full job.
If you are going to get 60k plus from the OEM Kumho's that is brilliant.
Our WK2 with QL isn't vague straight ahead, if your tyres are wearing square with no feathering, might be a bit related to tyre pressure....
John
