My PCV hose was seeping oil and dripping onto the hose connecting to the oil cooler. I thought there was a leak there until I worked out where it was coming from.
Benno that picture shows engine with catch can fitted so it will be different from the standard PCV hose.
Have attached pics of the standard hose removed and another showing where it connects to front of engine. Hope that helps identify the correct hose for you.
Yeah, mine looks the same, the PCV hose is right above it. As Lewy says, the hose will look a bit different to the pic I posted, because it has had a catch can installed to collect the seeping oil.
Ok, I'm beginning to understand, sorry. I don't have this PCV hose, and I don't see where it could connect to the oil cooler. Unfortunately, I don't think it would solve my problem because the leak is visible under the exchanger. Yesterday my mechanic told me to change the gasket, and he said me also that we can be sure that the cooler is OK only at the time of its removal
If he's looked at it and says it needs replacing then hard to argue.
The PCV hose doesn't connect to the cooler, it just runs above it and it can seep then the oil drips down onto the cooler and looks like it is the cooler that is leaking. Easy way to check is run your hand under the PCV hose and the other large air intake hoses at the top of the engine bay. If you feel oil underneath it then it may be dripping.
Guys I have the same problem with my 2013 one pics are exactly the same removed oil cooler assembly and replaced seal kit but still leaking could it be the same problem?
