I saw this review recently, the Alfa Giulia, RWD, 3 series rival. Seems to review well:

2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Review | CarAdvice

They have also developed the Giulia Quadrifolglio which out performs the M3. The new platform they are using is going to be used for coupes and SUVs for Alfa, and I guess may be shared through Fiat and CJD.

Jeep should be getting the Patriot/Compass replacement soon too.

edit: Ok then this is lined up for 2018, based on the same platform and competing against the Q5 and X3

Yep, know about the new giulia. I was at McCarrolls (Sydney Alfa dealer) last week and they still think it is not due till 2nd qtr 2017, but Alfa are always late....so still a long wait for this new product for FCA.

Re: Grand Cherokee in the media

I like the specs on it, looks like a good option, I would like to get into a RWD mid sized sedan, but didn't want a BMW or Merc badge. Unfortunately the missus refuses to ride in anything but SUVs these days.

What is interesting in the sales figures is that despite the dismal sales for GC, it is still outselling Everest. And Everest is only just selling more than the ageing Pajero. I reckon Ford must be pretty worried too.

Re: Grand Cherokee in the media

Yeah, it hasn't been the success they were hoping for. Meanwhile Fortuner is taking off, put a toyota badge on it and they will buy it..... Looks like the 7 seat option on the Paj Sport has got some buyers lining up now too.

Re: Grand Cherokee in the media

They did have a few fires in the ranger as well. Ford claimed it was because they had accessories fitted, so blamed that, although atleast one owner says he didn't have any accessories fitted. Their fix is to only have your battery changed by a properly trained ford mechanic, oh and if you fit a light bar then you are stuffed. Pretty ridiculous solution.

Hmm, I thought this was a Grand Cherokee thread, not an FCA thread
