Grand Cherokee in the media

Thought a thread for media articles about the GC would be a good idea:

What off-roader should I buy?

Linda is after a car with good economy, comfort, handling and the ability to accommodate at least four adults on rough gravel roads. It needs to be happy off the tarmac and it must also be capable of towing up to 3500 kilograms. While a dual-cab ute is her obvious choice, she'd prefer a wagon body and is wondering if Isuzu's MU-X might fit the bill.
She should buy a Jeep!

Even that news story was a beat up, it pissed me off this morning when I read it. The news was that a new Everest caught fire for no apparent reason, the rest was bloody conjecture and scare mongering, that is, normal bs headline grabbing shit.

There's a piece in the daily telegraph too. Carnt be bothered to paste a link.

Yep, he seems worried it will mean that he can be held liable for any comments others make. Surely it is limited to what he tells others to do.

I'd love to see the independent report on his car, FCA seem to be suggesting it is fine.

If it turns up with tow hooks, I will buy one and then eat it piece by piece. And then I will eat my hat.

The USA specs unfortunately just don't give any indication of what we will get here.

Yep, we will have to wait until the dealers start getting ordering details I guess. I really like it, but no chance of convincing the minister for war and finance that I need to upgrade.... from the wk2 jeep site:

It would probably be a downgrade for you Benn0.
Nothing new or appealing for those who want to take it offroad.

Like the tow hooks, don't count on the ACC. I asked a dealer recently (I know, dealers don't know much) and he said it was unlikely ACC would filter down to models below Overland. It's seen as a real draw to get people to stump up the extra dollars for an Overland.

Yeah looking back at the details I think I got it confused with blind spot monitoring. Can't see ACC on the feature list
