Yes please.

I called head office over a week ago, gave them all the details of my vehicle and my scary self recovery at 7 mile with no support vehicle, towing or even a shovel. Told them of Jeep Lismore total lack of knowledge of the situation and that I wanted the update applied that others have had.

Still no call back from them, sucks.

If you could PM me some contact person that would be helpful.

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

This is a quote from the SRT8 review on car sales...

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8: Launch Review - Car Reviews, News & Advice - Carsales Mobile

"while a few even dialled in Track and removed all traction and stability control nannies by pressing the stability control off button for five seconds (remember that for sand driving)."

Interesting.... anyone out there going sand driving soon to test this?

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

For information of Jeep Garage. In November issue of 4X4 Australia (See 4X4 Forum) there is a letter regarding the JGC problems in sand and it appears Fiat Chrysler Australia Group have approved a software update which will eliminate these complaints. A service program has been implemented to ensure vehicles are checked and update accordingly. Hope this helps. This comes from Lenore Fletcher, Director of Corporate Affairs, Fiat-Chrysler.

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Is there a specific TSB reference for this fix to encourage the dim witted service centres to actually look something up? I have the magazine which I can wave under their nose but then I'd have to read it to them as well.

If I had such a low opinion of the service department, I wouldn't let them touch my vehicle.

Not much point in reading to them, unless you can show bright and colourful images as well. You need something bright to stimulate their senses.

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

I had a call from Chrysler on Tuesday. I had the "temporary" flash applied to my car a month or two ago. Chrysler just wanted to follow up and make sure I was still happy.

I'm pretty pleased that Chrysler seem to be taking the initiative now and following me up.

Anyway, I asked if there was now a formal TSB and I was told that there is not - they are still working on a permanent fix and the time for this is unknown. So no formal TSB yet.

I did say that my car is due for its 20K service just before xmas, so I'll get the dealer to check again with Chrysler then.

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Just had my 12 month service completed over the last 2 days. I advised of the sand issue and the knocking drive shaft when accelerating. Apparently there is no update and I need to take the service foreman for a drive to prove the issues before than can be fixed (sand driving is hours away).
I'm not going to name names but Suttons Rosebery should consider some training. Thankfully its a lease car

It took me 3 visits to my dealer to get the issue fixed. I found out the hard way that to get this issue resolved contact Chrysler customer relations.
