Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

I've had an update that allegedly fixes the issue. I'll be on Stockton tomorrow to test it for jeep.

Is your dealer bennetts green?

The NSW service manager told them that there is still no definite fixes. I don't think they want to feed me any crap as I have a current cttt case against jeep, and any lies will come out in the wash. They were honest and told me today that they still have no approved fix, as there is one in testing at present and they are trying to ensure the modifications to the ecu do not have roll on effects to the abs and esc systems

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Sure is strange, I've not read similar stories about my WK, and I would not be concerned about off road. I wonder if the wheel speed sensors on the wk2 is get sand in them and the vehicle is having problems sensing wheel speed.

That's what I had it in. 4wd low.

By the way you can drive it off Stockton in 2wd if you do get stuck, drop the air to 12psi and the wide tyres should get you enough to get back off, you need to speed up gradually then keep it up over 25kmh or you will start bogging in again.

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

End up getting off the beach. Once the sand was wet I was able to drive out. After a few hundred meters the serv 4wd light went out and I was able to get off the beach.

Nice day to be stranded. Especially after a two hour drive from Sydney

Re: Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Did you video it ?
It may be worthwhile to video the error, as it is conclusive proof and may be useful when dealing with service.
