re: I bought a Jeep - started a Mistake.....but now???

Really feeling your pain Bernard.
Although I have not got so much of a drama getting the car back and forth, it still is a inconvenience that you should not need to go through time after time after buying a brand new vehicle!
And I am also seeing that they always seem to run out of time carrying out the work, no matter how long the car is with them. So one can only conclude that booked paying services take priority over booked Warranty work

re: I bought a Jeep - started a Mistake.....but now???

I know you can get lemons, but in my experience with Jeep, especially 'Wanneroo Jeep Chrysler', here on Perth, Western Australia, has been excellent.

My Jeep has been flawless, apart from the FCW warning, I am yet to get fixed, have done 55,000 Klm, and I love it. Done heaps of mods, all good.

My third Jeep, WK that did 180,000 Ks, only needed Valve seats, and old 1996 Larardo that needed new motor. (My fault, should have checked the radiator)

I am happy for you and the many others that have had issue free driving

My gripe is with the lack of concern from both the Stealerships and Jeep Australia when there is an issue

Why should it come to members like Bungendore taking them to court regarding the SatNav issues, Bluey to take the fight to them regarding the Reversing Camera's......
What happened to Good Old Customer Service and supplying products that people were proud of and still managed to make money?
What ever happen to actually getting what you were promised and paid for?

Agree, Gucci said "the bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has faded from memory." However I tend to say " the bitterness of poor customer service lingers far longer than the sweetness of the sale".

Having experience in both sales and service, I can tell you that poor customer service can bring upon the ruin of an organisation regardless of how good their product is. Bad news carries louder and further than good news. Hopefully Jeep and Chrysler figures this out before it's too late.

re: I bought a Jeep - started a Mistake.....but now???

Well have just received the response from Jeep Aust regarding the new problem with the over heating pump and funnily after waiting nearly a week for the answer, they agree with the guys at DVG Maddington, the pump needs replacing.

No pumps in Australia so now another wait to see how long it will take to get one sent over from the States

I really bloody hope this will be the end of it and nothing else develops!

Cheers Maxy

I saw you had some issues with the wiring harness
Did you manage to get it all sorted out and fixed?

re: I bought a Jeep - started a Mistake.....but now???

No mate I didn't have the wires there like you and my mate hooked in elsewhere and blew up the rear levelling switch at the back , kept on throwing codes up on every startup but it's all fixed now just had to wait a week for the part to arrive . Mate I really feel for you , my first Jeep was a 2013 GC 3.0ltr diesel I owned it for 2 days and it completely died on me in Brisbane traffic , they took the car from me for 2 months because they couldn't get it to start I only did 400klms in it so the whole time they gave a loner it was a 300c . Man I couldn't believe it but silly me went and brought another jeep but I love my SRT

Good luck anyway Mark , got me fingers crossed for ya mate

Cheers mate, HOPEFULLY this will be the end of the dramas once this replacement pump comes over - really tired of walking past the Jeep every morning and not being able to drive it!

re: I bought a Jeep - started a Mistake.....but now???

Well bloody blow me down!

7 o'clock on a Friday night and I just had a call from the Service Manager at DVG Maddington! Apparently the Jeep state manager has just dropped of a 2014 Overland with Quadra-Lift for them to rob parts off of to get mine on the road

Just when I had just about given up, they pull a pleasant surprise out of the bag for a change

Now it is booked in for Tuesday morning so Touch Wood, Fingers Crossed, Break a Leg.......... I may just have a working vehicle by next weekend

After 8 weeks it is a great move
Would have been even better sooner rather than later, but at this point I am still grateful that it looks that I wont have another wait for parts to come over from the States
