Re: Interested in a possible MY14 bulk purchase order (Australia only)

I am out of the group buy for the moment, as there are too many things I am not happy about the '14.
The lack of Stop/Go ACC, no flipper glass, CD in center console and the foot park brake are causing me to delay my purchase until the '15 model or earlier if the sort out the Stop/Go ACC.
While I love the SRT, my current CRD offers me a happy and comfortable drive, but not enough to sway me to upgrade at this point.
I have removed myself from the document and hope you all get a great deal.

Correct me if I am wrong but the Stop/Go is the ability for the cruise control to stop and start the car in traffic without you putting your foot on the break or accelerator and keeping a set distance between you and the car in from is this true?

Also I plead ignorant what is a flipper glass?

It is a feature where the glass in either the drivers or passengers door would create an image of the middle finger being extended in the case of being cut off.

It was a split tail gait. You could open just the top glass section rather than the entire boot. Good for tight spaces, very odd that it was removed.

I prefer your first description.

Re: Interested in a possible MY14 bulk purchase order (Australia only)

The Stop/Go ACC is a big one for me as it can make driving in heavy traffic much easier. I love the ACC on my car, but being it is the same on the '14 it is a big deal to me.
The rest I can live without, but the ACC is a deal breaker.

As for recovery hooks, I do not care about them, as I have never used them. I just like stirring up the people who do not have them.

Fully understand that. Stop/Go not much use in the Alice.

A good explanation of the Stop/Go ACC is here: BMW Technology Guide : Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function

As regards the flipper glass (sorry I can't help myself) a picture of it is here: Flipper Glass

Well if that is the case then I can see why he canceled his order.

Get your order in now!!! Beige interior is usually an order especially in a white car. Power liftgate and nav are now standard. Rear entertainment another rare one. You need to pre order now.

Cm on everyone knows metallic paint is more expensive to produce and apply. Why should folks who get gloss colours pay more?? Brilliant black versus gloss black is both more attractive and slightly easier to maintain because of its disruptive camouflage appearance.

You could wait at the rail crossing when the Ghan comes to town.
