intermittent steering 'clunk'

Lately my Jeep has started to make an intermittent 'clunk' noise at low speed when the steering is wound towards lock in either direction. The noise appears on either end of the steering travel, usually happening when reversing over a kerb or other uneven surface.

Just wondering if anyone here might have an idea of the cause. Think I will have to book it in at the dealer, but am a bit worried about them slapping me with a huge bill for the privilege of just looking at it. If the cause turns out to be the OME lift I had installed, then I guess replacing parts under warranty goes out the window..

i have the ome suspension. my son has the quadralift. the quadralift raises much higher than mine. the quadrlift goes lower than mine.
obviously the ome is within the geometry capacity of the suspension.
it would be a bit rough of they blamed the ome.
but if they blame ome i think it would be fair to expect arb to come to the party. i'll be interested in how younget on. good luck

Why, you ask? Probably lack of skills/experience/care factor, but I can't say with any certainty. All I know is I started getting the lift installed in early June, and the car has been back to them 10 times since. They have always made right the issues that have arisen during that time. In hindsight I wish I'd just gone to a proper suspension shop in the first instance.

After some more troubleshooting I've found the issue appears to be coming only from the passenger side.
Also the steering makes a squeaking noise when steering at low speed that is only noticeable from outside the car.
Anyway it's booked in at the dealer on Wed, I'm not looking forward to it...

The Jeep dealership took a look today. They reckon the noise is the steering rack moving on its mounts due to the tierod ends being at too steep an angle, hitting the stops. Caused by the suspension lift. I'm not sure I believe that, as the noise happens when the steering is sometimes a long way from lock, but I know nothing. Bounced back to ARB, who had no idea and say they will talk to OME in Melbourne now...
Guess I should just be happy Jeep didn't charge me anything for that diagnosis. ?

Thanks, when you say track bar, I'm thrown off as I thought they were only on solid axle vehicles. Do you mean the sway bar?

Looking under the car now I reckon they haven't even looked for it, probably just read the truncated description that the counter staff took down and assumed a little. Makes sense that I wasn't charged if that's the case.
