Looking over what I have seen, it could be several causes and or combinations.
No regen done at pre delivery
Car runs a low revs with the 8 sp on the highway
incorrect oil
incorrect fuel
some DFPs faulty

This seems to cover most of the potential causes. Just thought I would put it out there.
No regen done before delivery. I think, this is the problem. As stated, all Jeep dealerships are now required to do this.

I must admit my car has never gone as well, Its lille a rocket. Once the soot gets to a certain stage it can't regen itself.

What about the folk who have been towed in more than once? Doesn't figure that it's pre-delivery idle time.

Cheers,
Steve

Exactly, and what about those who are doing long highway runs, the burn should have already been run at highway speed.

Im hearing you, and agree with both. I tow a caravan, and it happened to me while travelling at 100km/hr.

But i can't deny the extra performance mine has since the regen.

fingers crossed and I can only wait to see if it happens again.

Will update

cheers

Sounds good, but I would still be raising this with Jeep Australia.

At 100km/h if the dpf is full it SHOULD regen. If it isn't there is something wrong.

I'd have the ticket logged with JA, and if it happens a 2nd time insist on a replacement dpf or a proper fix if they have one by then. Taking it to a dealer to get regened isn't really acceptable in my book.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

So a member over at AJOR has a brother who had 2 DPF limp modes despite highway driving, on the 2nd occasion the dpf wouldn't clear with a forced regen. Must have been something jammed in there. So Jeep Oz got them to order a new DPF and that seems to have fixed it. It was Sept 2013 build.

I wonder if these dpfs with multiple limp modes are fully clearing after a forced regen? I might go back to my earlier theory that something is getting applied in the exhaust system at build that is then clogging the dpf under operation..... Perhaps a forced regen is able to move it in some cases, but not others..... I don't know!

I may have missed it but can I confirm that we should be getting a message on the dash to say that a "regen" is occurring?

My dealer thinks that it won't tell me, but will do if in the process and I start to drive slow and then it will say "drive at highway speed" or words to this effect.

It's pretty poor that the user manual says nothing about this.

Don't get snuke started!

The Diesel supplement does talk about it, but for some reason we don't get one in Oz. You have to download it:
