That sounds more like it, at least they knew enough to apply the flash update. Some service centers are denying it even exists....

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Have placed an order for a MY15 CRD at cricks mt gravatt after reading this thread im really hoping they have this issue sorted on the newer build cars or theres gonna be a war on.

After signing a contract its already near impossible to get hold of the sales to reply to a email or return a phone call, I was hoping the service department might at least be better but after reading some of these comments im already wondering if i've made the wrong decision.. will give them the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best to start with but im not getting my hopes up.

Leave them a message stating you will cancel your contract if they don't call you back. I bet your phone will be ringing off the hook

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Yeah, the sales guys can be a bit slack, but they do well on price. I'd just find somewhere else to get it serviced. Really it seems to be a small percentage of cars that are getting this dpf issue, and it tends to get fixed one way or another. Just need to make sure you are taking it to someone who knows what to do....

I've had mine for 5 months now, and I was initially nervous about all these issues, but it is a joy to drive, focus on the positives. I'm starting to get that rough shifting at low speeds issue, but there is a fix for that, so hopefully it won't be an issue.

Looks like the DPF TSB has been rereleased:

I'm picking my MY15 CRD Overland on Tuesday 😊 and I've found the communication with Cricks Mt Gravatt to be excellent. Paul is the sales guy I use, he's really helpful. (let's see after the money changes hands...)

If you end up not being happy with the service after you get your JGC, tell them so, (make sure you go to the boss), and go elsewhere. Too many of us in Oz put up with crap, whether car dealerships, tradesmen, shop assistants or whatever. It is a very common problem. "Customer service" is often non existent. I have a mate with a BMW and he is in the same boat, and has just swapped dealerships looking for some basic level of genuine "customer service".

Re the Jeep, you will love it!! Ours is six months old and we still LOVE it, absolutely awesome machine!

PS. When I had mine in for a service the other day, they washed the car, very good of them, left it spotless. Only problem was, they used some kind of alkaline detergent which attacked the polished aluminium roo bar, making a hell of a mess, with terrible streaks right across it. It took me well over an hour to polish the mess they left, not impressed. When I informed them, they said sorry, bring it back and we will fix it. Too late, the damage was done, and I didn't have time to take the car back. I will remind them of it next time the car goes in for anything, and see what they offer- which will determine if the car goes back there.

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

I wash my car the day/night before it goes in, I don't give them any reason to attempt to clean it and screw it up.
As per you, they may use a non PH balanced wash and strip of the wax etc…, and use dirty items to “clean” it.

Hmmm. I wish I'd done that, will certainly do so next time.

Cheers

Re: Is DPF issue for 2014 CRD fixed now?

Some just ask them not to clean it, but I figure someone may not read that and be on auto pilot mode and just what they always do. If you can give them a reason not to do any work, they will take that, so a clean car will be left alone.

Just my opinion, buts those bars really are ugly.

Is Sean still the service person there? And for the record, they have never washed our car while there, and its been there a few times!
